I've been looking at balan a while. My 'in progress' is really similar to this but I got rid of some of the lesser swords of x&y for gear I find more interesting for less $$$ like sting and anduril

So shroud isn't terrible with Balan btw, her ability will get around it because the attaching doesn't target that way. Great deck btw, one of my personal favorite decks to play. I wouldn't build it with all the swords, but I can see why you did for theme. Commander's plate is decent. Also a combo for her is bloodthirsty blade and assault suit, because you still get all the triggers for the swords, even if you give her to your opponents. Also grafted exoskeleton
