A compilation of all 13 boss fights / final boss + ending in Balan Wonderworld for the PS5 in 4K 60fps. This video shows how to get all the fighting style statues for each boss.
Note: Sometimes the game glitches and does not give you the trophy, even if you use all 3 fighting styles. In that case, try again in a different order and/or using different costumes. I had to replay some bosses up to 4 times to get them.
Every world has their own unique scenario with the cutscenes before the boss showing a negative aspect, and the cutscenes after the boss showing a wholesome ending.

I want to theorize (since as of now I have not read the novel) Lance (& Balan by extension) knew someone that caused them to have this rift formed when they were on the same side. When this person disappeared or something happened to them. Lance fell into a depression which caused him to be possessed leading him to be on the side of the negates.

Something they should have done is instead of making each boss a "three hits and it's done" sort of situation, the bosses should have had Double health, making it easier to get all three styles while also allowing the bosses to do more. Maybe restructure some of them so it doesn't become too easy or too long.

Fiona Demetria: An accidental near-drowning caused by a dolphin. Yuri Brand: She was a misunderstood girl who would one day be an entomologist. Hayou Chang: One too many failures turning a bike into an airplane. Sana Hudson: Deforestation; no forest means no home for her bird friends. Cass Milligan: She thinks she's the cause of the cat being killed by a car. Cal Saresh: The chess equivalent to Seto Kaiba from Yu-Gi-Oh! Iben Bia: She's afraid that since she lost her parents to the grim reaper, she'd lose her fiance as well. I like the boss and character designs, the cutscenes are beautiful and the animations are solid. The character design heavily reminds me of 3D sonic, like Sonic Unleashed for example. Maybe they'll listen to the critique and patch some things up. If they do, I'd probably get this game on sale for 10 bucks.

I kinda got used to the slower speed of the Demo version, so it almost feels Unnatural how ever-so-slightly faster the character runs now. It's like they run JUST fast enough that it feels notably faster than the Demo, even though it's not *that* much of a boost.

Pollemic opinion: this game could be a 9/10 if it wasn't for it being so linear and giving you that "same over and over" feeling at times. However the artistic design in every way is just beautiful, but i'd give it a 7.5/10 because they got everything right but gameplay, it isn't horrible just deceptive compared to what the cutscenes should have offered

​​​​​@@ShindoKagiriwhat story, the cutscenes at best are just pretty and have interesting premises, but all lack all the development to say they're stories at all, if anything you're just unlocking the second part of their lil reels as if its just one big video they purposely cut at the middle just to shove the mandatory boss fight, rather than actually helping them out for them to reach their happy endings, and Balan showing up as if he did anything at all doesn't help, especially how the ending wants you to think it was a heartful journey, but that wasn't the case at all And the actual story and context being inside a book that was sold separately is yet another huge red flag for the game, doesn't matter what's in the book, the mere fact you gotta look it up just to understand what's going on and why you should care about these characters already is baffling, even old school games at least would put the story inside their manuals if it couldn't fit in the game itself due to limitations back then, which is not the case for Balan at all, which in Balan's case it was also very scummy because the game already costed the full 60 at launch, even the most cookie cutter 2D Mario games have a more complete story than any of the +12 stories in Balan xd And it isn't that people were too critical, the game is smoke all the way, just flash and no substance, and even when its price tag took a fitting nosedive, it's still very hard to recommend when there's many other much better games around that do most if not everything Balan tried to do, but much better, the only salvageable thing from the game are the character designs, those are really fantastic quality designs, that hurts a lot they're stuck in this game

I know a lot of people hate this game and call it a rip off but it speaks to me. Everyone’s passion corrupted by doubt and terrible things that happen in life turning them into bad people. The difference is that NiGHTS is actively helping the kids get over their trauma so they don't abandon their dream goals, while the kids also help NIGHTS back whenever they're in trouble because NiGHTS isn't superman, making a very healthy dynamic of the children learning to face their own demons while NIGHTS lends them a hand, constantly helping each other, and together they can beat any darkness that comes by Whereas Balan is straight up just forcing these two kids to do all the dirty work for him, while just being there to s o m e t i m e s give them one of many arbitrary Balan Statues they need to progress in their way out after he's had a lil fun breaking boulders and toying with Lance for a bit, as well as take the credit for every person the kids free from Lance, and his acting is so convincing even the very kids he's exploited believe he did all the job and deserved all the thanks, when he even almost seemingly caused the downfalls of some, and enjoyed seeing or even encouraged others succumb to the darkness, where Lance is awaiting to poke them with his tentacles

I have a very weird theory: Lance is a version of Balan from the past. Balan Wonderworld is definitely not a bad game, it's far above the likes of Bubsy 3D and Sonic 06, but it just doesn't feel to me like it's as good as games like Luigi's Mansion 3, most of the Super Mario 3D games, the God of War series, the Uncharted series, or even a hat in time. I don't even know why, there is just something that's making me give this game an 7/10 instead of 8/10.

If he was playable, to represent his games better he would be a joke character with horrible hitboxes with sluggish warmups that leave him vulnerable most of the time and don't do nearly as much damage as the animation implies, a super exploitable recovery, a very tall hurtbox with animations that widen it a lot and let opponents hit him far more consistently, awful air speed, and lets add the gimmick of if he's hit while or after performing a special he loses access to that special until the cooldown's done, and lets make him light as heck because he flies at all time, and according to Smash, that means he must be light as heck by default

Most of these bosses just remind me of the NiGHTS bosses, but like worse versions of them ( THis is gonna be a long rant so be warned) The Wolf is Clawz without his mouse rockets Dolphin is Gulpo with a little bit of Donbalon Insect is Queen Bella right down to her entrance Plane is Girania The Chicken thing is Chamelon The Cat is Bomamba mixed with Puffy The Chess one is Jackal Ice Queen is Jackal in design but that's all I got Clown is literally Donbalon bouncing around and everything The Painting is Bomamba and those projectiles in the final phase are very Bomamba esc FireHydrant is Cerberus in design but fight wise it's decently unique The Trash monster reminds me of Clawz, it's design and colors are similar and the little bombs are like Clawz' mouse rockets Lance is Reala but if Reala was edgier and had worse theme music Lance phase two is Wiseman they both even have a weird thing with multiple eyes and detachable hands Heck even Balan is just NiGHTS but not gender fluid All of this aside I do like the boss designs, the cat and chess bosses being my favorite but if this game was going to have so many similarities to NiGHTS then why not just make it a NiGHTS game. Yes I do acknowledge that this game did many things that NiGHTS didn't but if you do look deeper into things you can see how similar the two games are
