I saw her interviewed on Dutch TV after Rio and she said when she saw Simone's low score ... then she corrected herself. "No, not a low score, a score we didn't expect." She still had so much respect for Simone that she corrected how she described the score. That's class.

Her super turns give the impression that she's "weak" on the acrobatic side (people keep saying that). But here she used 5 D-level acro skills on her difficulty score, there's 2.0 points of acro in that 5.9 start value. That was only 0.1 less than Simone (2.1), the same as Shilese (2.0) and higher than Zhou (1.9) and Rebeca (1.6). Alongside turning, Wevers actually has a great acro.

Them not giving the full turn + double turn connection is really strict. It's probably the right call but it's definitely hard to tell in real time.

​​@@chadchan4985if she connect the three element at 0:37 - 0:42 she would get +0.2 CV (D+D) and +0.1 CV (D+B) + 0 1 SB (D+D+B) and the 1/1 and 2/1 turns 1:46 - 1:50 another +0.1 CV, so potentially +0.5 (6.4 final)

Did the mount series not get credited coz she placed her foot on the beam before launching into the wolf jump with full turn? Or did judges just think the connection was too slow?

Sim, seria 6.4 eu acho, mas bem difícil considerarem essa primeira ligação dela, os três elementos então, impossível. Acho que o máximo que ela pegaria é um 6.0 se mais um giro fosse credito na sequência que ela faz de 3

Estão pesando a mão nela, nesse tipo de prova que "não está na moda mais". A Rebeca foi incrível, mas acho que ela merecia o bronze. Infelizmente o esporte é muito subjetivo.
