Alcohol can be far too dangerous, if someone immerses himself in a game for a few days or even weeks it's fine - they return to normal again after they binged on the game. Alcohol is a constant problem and danger, mood swings, accidents and so on can lead to lasting consequences. So yes, a gaming addict, if that's the choice, please.

Alcohol leaves a mark on the body in a more severe sense than gaming addiction will. They are both harmful, but one is certainly better than the other. In terms of a relationship, I do think it'd be easier to have one with an alcoholic than a game addict though, not that either would last particularly long.

The barrier for violence is reduced through alcohol and even some usually non-violent people might start being abusive. While a gaming addict might get violent if you want to stop them, but a non-violent guy most likely won't and you could be safe by just avoiding them during the gaming time.

As a person who plays video games, I had a friend who also plays but he would throw shit randomly whenever he was losing. While he wasn't violent directly towards me it was difficult to bring him to reason without waiting for him to cool down. So personally, I think a "gamer" can be as violent as an alcoholic, it just depends from their personality when they're pushed to the "limit".

It’s normal. But unlike in the west, it’s also not rare for girls (and sometimes guys) to wish to wait till marriage - which no one in the west would do ever. At least not voluntarily. (Source- I am European and used to live in Korea and dated a lot of Koreans in Korea and in Europe)

Why does everyone assume that an alcoholic boyfriend will be violent, but not a gaming-addicted one? Alcoholism is just an addiction to a substance, it doesn’t define how that person will react under its influence! The person could be a happy drunk, a chatty drunk, a sleepy drunk, or even a functioning alcoholic. In fact the addicted gamer could in fact be the one full of rage! Truth is, both of them are addicts, but at least the alcoholic might actually spend some time with you!

It has something to do with their culture and what definition the word alcoholic bring to them. I heard that in Korea, they don't interpret alcoholic as a person that always drink to the point they get drunk, and instead they refer to people that simply drink a lot. Keep in mind that the factor of different understanding, and internal conflict in short-timed questionnaire exist and they can impact a person's temporary judgment - and thus causing her to choose an option even if she'll regret it later.

Outside of holding out for a wife who is pregnant or just had a child or been through surgery ... then yes he will be gone or else he will be cheating on you unless he is asexual/platonic. Hell if it's only once a week most would leave or cheat. Most men date or marry women for sex along with a relationship. A relationship without sex is not dating but just being friends. Hell, sex is awesome, so IF your only wanting it once a month then he must be REALLY BAD LOL. If he he only wants it once a month then ... perhaps YOUR really bad ... either way it means you need to spend more time with each other and focus on each other instead of just yourselves. That being said there is nothing wrong with waiting till your married. Just remember to meet each other's needs to keep your relationship healthy.

Funny stuff 😆 Also, I think some in the comments are being a little too offended or surprised by her answer of the alcoholic over the gamer. Seems like she just simply thought of it as someone who drinks, and felt since she also drinks, that would be something they can do together because she also enjoys it. Not that the guy would be flat out drunk all the time and abusive. I'd definitely have to go for the 3 times a day one. When I had a girlfriend, I get aroused just simply being around her (when we're at home). And I'd be ready to go again 15-30 minutes after. Once a month, the act wouldn't last long at all because I'd be wanting for so long, and it would make me climax very early.
