Hi - love your videos but I just had a doubt. Centric occlusion is about 1-2mm ahead of centric relation. It is the occlusion on maximum intercuspation and not occlusion when the TMJ is in centric relation. Thanks!

Maximum intercuspation may or may not coincide with centric occlusion. Centric occlusion is when TMJ is in centric relation. In complete dentures/full mouth rehab we need to establish the centric occlusion. Full mouth rehab done in patient's maximum intercuspation fails for sure. The prosthesis breaks or teeth breaks or the patient gets TMJ issues when centric is not recorded properly. Hope it clarifies.
