balancing force (resultant force) should act on opposite direction (in polygon), then only it will balanced? isn't it?

Yes.. that's true for balancing

If it is unbalanced force then it should act in opposite direction. If the system is balanced by adding a balancing mass then the force should be in the closing direction of the polygon
