In this week’s episode of the Lisa Nichols Show, we’re having an honest conversation about mind-body balance. We spend a lot of time working on our businesses, our families, and our volunteer work, but are we honoring the needs of our bodies?
In this episode, I will share my personal health and body struggles, and how I was able to turn things around to improve my health and wellness. You may not know this, but for almost 20 years, I was obese. And then my body stopped working properly, so I had to change! It was not about being a certain weight or fitting into a specific size - it was all about feeling good and listening to what my body was telling me it needed. And I want this level of health and awareness for you, too!

Struggling with an addictive mindset since I was 18 years old. I’m now getting ready to turn 23 and found myself addicted to food in order to cope with my life. Im way too young to feel the way I do about my body (sore knees, tired when running). Im scared of losing my temple so early, I’ve been on a health journey for the past two weeks recognizing I need to show up for myself. Thank you Lisa Nichols, for another daily reminder to continue to show up for your temple.

I have been sitting with my body for 27yrs, and not once, have I been in love with it. As I write this I am in tears because I am reminded of that little chubby girl who couldn't wait to be me now, because the me now was going to be THE BOMB! LOL..., But, the me now, is still the chubby little girl . In the next 24hrs the one step I will take is to apologize to every part of me for not loving ME! And, to thanks EVERY PART OF ME, for still be here!

Been there trust me is within you, you can have everything you set your mind to ❤ this is your life and you are the youngest you’ll ever be, me personally did a lot of shadow work and that really helped me go to the gym and have the lifestyle i have rn, when you talk bout tha pt little girl is your inner child that is wounded do some inner child work as well and i promise that once you heal her , your life will completely change 🙏🏻love ya

I’m 24 , love a very active life I struggle with resting. Recently I had very intense law school exams and experienced some very scary symptoms in my body I’d never experienced before like the side of my face hurting , vein in my neck throbbing in pain and headaches that won’t leave. I realised I needed to take resting and being calm a lot more seriously. Currently I’m on a solo vacation with the aim of resting completely and working on maintaining peace in my mind and inner being.

This is FOR ME! I've not been listening and neglecting my temple. I commit in the next 24 hours to prepare a healthy meal plan, go shipping for the foods I need to follow the plan and give my body a fighting chance to heal itself. Thank God that you were brave to come on here and speak your truth! Your past is my present, so I'm determined to make my future better by doing what needs to ne done to heal and get well.

Like so many stories shared, for years I have endured being over weight, many different types of pain (neck, shoulders, lower back, knees) finally, I listened to my body. To celebrate my birthday month, I decided to tackle my giant, by committing to my first 3 months of Pilates and Stretch Zone). My first sessions were 3 days. Some sores but feeling great!!! As I write my comments l’m sitting poolside of a spa. I just finished getting a wonderful message!! I listen to your tape, it was right on time as reinforcement and encouragement that I have made a decision for better health and wellness. Thank you for all that you do

Lisa I just watched this video It came a the right time for me… 4 years ago I lost 80 lbs Most has come back I’d forgotten to really “ love me for who I am right now!” Thank you for your messsge! This gives me hope to really take a deep look at “me”! Auntie Lisa this topic is a MUST!!! In 2016 I literally lost consciousness out of nowhere. It continued to happen all while the docs said nothing was wrong. I didn't know what was trying to kill me but I knew I had to work on my mind, body and spirit. This is actually how I discovered you and started to listen to your videos daily for personal development. Your videos helped my mental. Thank you so much for this message. It resonates with where I am right now in my life. I have been mentally telling myself that I need to start some forms of exercise in the new year, 2023. This is because I have started to feel pains in different parts of my body like never before. My doctor and friends have been coming up with different names for what I am feeling. Because my menstrual cycle has been on. I have been curious of what it's communicating to my body. 4am this morning I'm on Google researching everything about our periods and how we should conduct ourselves when it's on. Today is Sunday and I coerced and demanded of myself that it be a self care day. Getting still has been a challenge for me. I pondered on how I could relax in this day. And I decided to take a morning bath with a cup of hot tea to the next of me. (I couldn't bring myself to sleep in) The topic of Today was my body. And it's no coincidence that I received an email of this video this morning speaking to this subject. There is a Bible verse that says sometimes the spirit is willing but the body isn't able. The answer to this is #Balance I pray that we find rest within ourselves. That we learn to surrender, give up control and abide in the secret place; the Presence of the Living God. Selah. Peace be with you, God go before you and make all things smooth, beautiful and perfect your way. Thank you ALL.

YANA Lisa! I can only thank God for you!!! Your videos kept popping up in KZbin and I kept asking myself who is this woman until finally one day I decided to watch one of your videos.....OMG! Your videos were a such blessings, I kept watching one after the other and then I started sharing them with my girlfriends and my children. One of my girlfriends text me and said, “where did you find this woman?” Lisa, you are amazing! You almost had me crying watching this video. I went through a very dark period where I wouldn’t take pictures of myself because I could see the pain, the grief and the sadness on my face, not to mention the weight gain from depression. However, there were some pictures taken of me during that time. When I’ve looked at those pictures they reminded me of where I was and I would be embarrassed by the amount of weight I had gained and how I looked in my clothes. I couldn’t appreciate those pictures until now. You’ve given me a new perspective and one that I will cherish. “Lisa in the next 24 hours I plan for for a walk or do some form of movement and give my body some well needed rest. Today is Sunday which is also my “self-care day” so I plan to take care of me today!” Sending you lots of hugs and kisses!🤗😘

Thank you so much Lisa for this wonderful video. I wrote it down how to put my life in order and one of the things that I'm committed to is to lose 10 lb this month and I decided to break it down and two points five pounds a week. I already have a calendar where I wrote it down my goal and also how many times I'm going to go to the gym this week I caught some veggies and and I made the decision because I had been overweight for almost 16 years and I feel they have all the tools at home to complete my goal I just need to commit and do it thank you so much for this video I really appreciate that you share your story so that you can help us.

I saw subtitles in regular lessons. I was delighted. I Purchased a one-month membership. (Mindvalley) I was disappointed to see that there were no subtitles in the exercises. Exercises are more important. Why are there no subtitles in the exercises? Will it be added soon?
