This song is not from a new album. It's an unreleased song they recorded for their last album. As far as I'm aware, they haven't announced a new record.

They haven't officially announced it, but there's been a lot of interviews etc of them saying they are well into recording for it.

Hi Tone Wizard, great reaction! As was said by another user, Coheed and Cambria did the theme track for the Batman Arkham games called "Deranged" (Another very cool, short song, that they just remixed). This was its "sequel" called The Joke. I tend to glaze over long comments myself, so I apologize for it here, but Claudio (the lead singer) has said he doesn't like to be put into a box when it comes to genre. He's literally done the following: Prog Metal, Rock, Acoustic/light Rock, straight up heavy metal, Techno, Pop/Dance, Bluegrass, even Rap, with sprinkles of Reggae. So hey, if you have a preference, I can give you the song to listen to. And lastly, I've noticed reaction videos to Coheed tend to die off once viewers see that initial reaction to his high pitched vocals, so don't let that surprise you. It's my favorite band (as a hint, I've listened to The Joke over 40 times and it's been out for just a couple weeks), so I think you said you already heard Welcome Home, but listening to that song live may bring fan interest back again, since it is by far their most famous song (being the theme to a full motion animated film and all). Good luck trying to climb over The Fence.

Hey, long time fan here. Funny enough, I actually found that descending guitar riff REALLY grating. I like most of Coheed, though, so I'm glad you still enjoyed it. My next favorite band is called The Dear Hunter. I'd check out their song Gloria if given the chance. As for C&C, either the song Time Consumer or The Light & The Glass. I also enjoyed Old Flames as another guilty pleasure pop rock song, or Rise, Naianasha (Cut the Cord) for some uplifting, slightly proggy anthem rock.

Though this is their newest song, it is definitely a great song for getting into the band. Lots of CoCa fans love to recommend coheed songs that kind of require you to be a long time fan. If I were to recommend a song with that in mind, id have to recommend A Disappearing Act. It sort of has the story self-contained enough that it can be enjoyed by itself, and it is catchy af Edit: Bad Man, do Bad Man, please. You will not regret
