Bald head Island, North Carolina. Day Trip July 2023

so just south of the Southport Ferry Terminal is deep Point Marina this is the starting point for the bald head ferry that runs daily once an hour from the deep Point Marina and on the half-hour from the Bald Head Island side of the trip. This trip takes about 25 minutes of Crossing.
it is $23 round trip per adult you can carry luggage up to a certain number of pieces and you can also transport bicycles. Please go to the Bald Head Island webpage and look terminal you'll have to wait in the standby line at the current information for ticketing passage transporting luggage.
once you get at the ferry terminal you can drop off your bags if you're staying overnight and the guys and girls and the blueshirts will help you. I recommend purchasing your tickets online first and having a QR code that way you are guaranteed a seat. if you purchase tickets at the ferry the standby line
once on the island it is a two-minute walk where you can rent beach cruisers ebikes standard bicycles or even golf carts. The two main rental companies is Riverside rentals. And Cary Cart Company. again pre make reservations with these two companies to guarantee that you have either your bicycle rental your golf cart rental beach chairs or beach umbrellas waiting for you once you arrive.
there is no need to bring food or drinks they have plenty of options on the island. Multiple restaurants at the marina location. They have a country club for fine dining. A market in the middle of the island with a pizza shop and deli sandwiches made-to-order. towards the east end of the island you have a place called Mike's restaurant.
there also is multiple shops from women's boutiques, Beachwear, bicycle purchases, a hardware catch-all store that has anything you need, and a main grocery store.
when booking your ferry reservation and purchasing your tickets make sure you purchase or make your return Ferry trip so you have reserved going and reserved coming and coming back.
things to do on the island is Ride Your golf cart or bicycle around explore. Hiking trails. Kayaking stand-up paddle board. Restaurants to enjoy your palate and tastebuds. And if you're adventurous you can climb to the Top of Old Baldy Lighthouse. Also don't forget about the miles of pristine beaches that you can relax upon

Great video. Thanks for making it. That ferry runs every hour. They can't spend a lot of time loading everyone's baggage on board and still maintain the schedule. That is why they want all of the baggage turned in in advance, so they can load it fast. Captain Warner Athey
