The Black Templars are the most pious, devout and dangerous of all of the orders, or chapters, of the Adeptus Astartes, the Space marines.

Well some BT most are now Primaris Helbrect and Grimaldus already crossed the Rubicon, so a Civil War between BT likely even a large civil war within the Imperial Cult is enevitable with the obvious losers being the Rebels (on the Plus side we may get a BT Chaos Warband after it, a Khornate BT warband would be cool to see even if I am a Loyalist BT.)

I do like that a number of BT’s went ham against the Primaris. I do wish it had been more of a thing. Primaris one of those times that lore felt very forced just for models. More chapters deciding to just execute Primaris and maybe then simply grow their own after testing. Guilliman tells Helbrecht the BTs were right all along, good job, keep it up. Primarch philosophical victory achieved. Desire to crusade INTENSIFIES. Oh sheeeit when the Indomitus Templars start to crusade harder. Proceed to Primaris the whole (cough, legion strength) "Chapter". Proceed to strap jump packs onto Every Marine, to "move closer and hit the enemy with their swords, faster." Munitorum and Mechanicum cannot keep up with the sheer speed of the crusade. Call White Scars for speed. Jaghatais bois visibly concerned. Strap Extra Engines on all of the ships. Abbadons bois generally frustrated imperials start ramming harder. Khornites, Orks, and Tyranids absolutely loving it. The galaxy loves harder crusading, fanbase cheers, and GW nerfs the BTs to make them slower again, because they hate the fanbase, and no marines can be cooler than Matt Wards Ultrasmurfs. Also, Guilliman has a jump pack and is Dual Wielding the Imperial Sword and one of the Black Swords after reading the Lectitio Divinitatus. Grants him a vision of Daddy E. Papa Smurf visibly concerned when Grandad Smurf starts wearing BT black and white. The crusade marches on. No pity, no remorse, no fear.

I feel like this was some odd way for GW to try and say hey we agree fans. We suck at introducing new lore and models in a way that would be fun and exciting. I also feel like this was them attempting to make the templars easier to hate. It's a pretty contradicting story for the templars. Kinda breaks their entire belief to slaughter orginal marines who were just made better and had better gear. All of a sudden the son of their God isn't someone to worship? In all the books it's said that each of the primaris were indoctrinated and sent to the chapters they matched. They already knew about the chapters and their ways. Especially with the templars. G man would not be dumb enough to belive his marines would be accepted by fanatics if they weren't made to be fanatics themselves. Idk this just doesn't feel like something that would actually happen. Good video though brother as always.

So purging primaris would be no different to purging the works of heretics. Which would’ve been the position of the Imperium at any point prior to the Fall of Cadia and the return of Gulliman.

If you check out the Dornian Heresy, someone designed the loyalist world eaters. They consider anger a form of slavery and seek to master it, and act halfway between blood angels and salamanders, going straight for enemy leaders to avoid civilian casualties.

I have a Black Templar army that is a First Born collection only. I've always intend to keep it that way. They have their own charm and I don't like the look of the mixed aesthetic between the first born and Primaris models in the same army. What a amazing delivery for a great story, Baldermort. You capture zeal and fanaticism with a gripping bite one could expect from no one else. I'm so interested in how this plays out. 🔥🎸🔥

The Black Templars are loyal to the idea of the Emperor that was, not the one that is. They struck down progeny of Dorn who had done no wrong, therefore, they are no better than Iron Warriors.

I think leaving them alone with Primaris was the bad idea here. It should have been seperate successor "chapters" or crusades of Black Templars comprised fully of Primaris marines , led and trained in the chapter's ways by those Firstborn Astartes who would willingly go through the Rubicon Primaris. As much as i love the Templars for their unwavering loyalty , they are loyal in their own way. They despise Imperial bureaucracy and Guilliman. Presenting them with a gift(HERESY in their eyes) from bureaucrats and Guilliman , and then leaving them alone with that gift isn't really a smart thing to do. Maybe they needed to be convinced on the field by their Primaris brother's purity , maybe they needed more Custodians who could explain things to them , maybe they would have killed the Primaris even then. Oh well , as much as i HATE the fact that Primaris marines exist ; i hope not all crusades massacre their brothers in arms.

Some but most just accepted the Primaris so the killing of Primaris is not universal, Helbrect would likely not agree with killing the Primaris, though killing Primaris isn't out of characters (these are BT of course but BT would likely be split in the future ones that follow Helbrect, they do see Gulliman as a bit of a Saint if a distrusted one and those that hate Primaris.)

"Whoops" - A certain Crusade force. The event made me consider the fact that were it the other way around; Dorn took over the Imperium and created Primaris? Like the Ultramarines would go along so meekly. The problem with the XIIIth is assumption. They say 'that's how it is', and realistically that won't be followed by everybody.

@@Prophetofthe8thLegion not really , presenting Primaris to the Black Templars is a 0 on a logic scale of 1 to 10. They WILL not accept them in-masse. Just supplying the exhausted yet still fighting Templars with better equipment and yelling "HEY THERE'S A HERETIC , A MUTANT AND A XENO OVER THERE!" would have been a better idea. They get shit done , but they do it their way. They have proven how they don't like it when people fuck with their way.

@@OljeiKhan Yes that is true but you forget how Black Templars think or rather believe. To them the Emperor is a god. Gulliman is a son of that god, for most of them anyway to say no to him would be to spit in the face of the Emperor himself. I’m sure many of them aren’t exactly cuddly with the Primaris but very few of them save for that crusade led by the Marshall Mortian would dare reject them. Also my comment earlier was about Ultramarines

However i do find it bizarre for them to lay arms upon a Custodian. The Black Templars would probably revere any one of them WAY more than they would revere the "divisive" "deceitful" Guilliman.

My point being Sigismunds Templars were more Imperial Fist then Templar and of course held all the ideals and beliefs of their primarch for the most part. Black Templars on the other hand are well...lets just say eccentric.

Wow. I fell in love with the Black Templars when I first read the Armageddon series. Dreadnought Brother Jarold is one of my favorite characters in the entire lore. A crusade of Templars murdering their Primaris brethren though is disturbing. I mean these men would've had absolutely no idea what they did to deserve the cleansing.

I love how to prove Chapters are silly and the Legions shouldn't be broken up, the Templars became a mini-Legion and proved exactly why Legions are a bad idea. Commanders that go rogue, believe themself pure, refusing orders, entire companies lost, and a central command structure built around a single fallible person.

The other chapters have given up. Sit around and wait for "Orders"......actions un-beffiting of the SONS of the Primarchs. The Black Templar bring the fight to the enemies of the God Emperor. As all TRUE Astartes should. The others have lost their way. Some are only finding their eay again, like the Blood Angels and their succesors. But make no mistake, the Sons of Dorn uave not shied away from their duties for 10,000 years.

@@Dsaberguy a lot of unsubstantiated claims there pal. We KNOW cawl used every primarchs gene seed to make the primaris. We KNOW that the gene flaws it promised to fix weren't. We KNOW that. So since we aren't drooling daemon infused secondborn we know that its a bad idea and that primaris have also attempted to kill custodes. Weren't successful but hey they did try.
