I'm speaking from the PoV of a gay guy, but my experience is that a confident man, who knows who he is, works on his flaws without being owned by them, and can listen to what people want and provide it, gets a lot more attention than nervous young lad only worried about himself and how people see him.

A tactical realistic retreat shaver wise so that when you do go for a no guard shave, no one even really notices is the best way...that's what I did. I think this is tougher if you go bald at the back first as the denial is strong with them 🤣.
