What an incredible transformation and what a guy 👏.
In this video I sat down with Kyle and he shared his back story to his hair loss/male pattern baldness.
Kyle began to lose his hair towards the end of High School. In his younger years the hair loss and balding didn't bother him so much. However, as the balding and thinning got worse, wearing a hat became something of a comfort blanket to hide the hair loss from others. After a few uncomfortable situations Kyle decided that it was time to give the shaved head a go. He didn't need the extra stress in his life and wanted to move past the balding for good. Kyle then documented the moment he shaved his head bald for the first time and what an incredible transformation it is. Congratulations Kyle. 51yrs old and my wife finally convinced me to shave it off. I can't believe I waited this long to shave my head. I told myself, well if I don't like it shaved, I can always go back to the way it was. So, she got out the trimmers and off it went. I've never looked back. I still wear a hat when I go out but sometimes I don't. Bald is sooooo much better when you're working out or going swimming. I just feel fresh having a bald head. Also, not just for men, I've seen some beautiful women with bald heads. I suppose just like men some look better than others but I guess it comes down to your own comfort level and how you think you look compared to what you think others think of how you look. We should all give zero F"s what other people think. It's like going to the beach, I used to not feel comfortable in a bathing suit but now I don't care. I don't know any of those people and I see more people having fun on the beach. They don't care about me or what I look like, it's all in my head. Anyway, all the best to everyone. You know as a guy who’s going through this, it’s great to see we aren’t alone. I think when he took those first few looks in the mirror his life flashed in the blink of an eye. When i was getting thinning on top i use to wear a hat all the time 24/7,its funny because you try to hide something that everyone else knows exactly what you hide,one day i make the step and shaved my head,at first i didnt like it,it was weird,i used to have long hair for so many years.. I'm 29 years now and I took this same decision at 23 (unluckily I was losing my hair REALLY FAST, started happening at 17). I was afraid of not liking how I was gonna look without hair and took actually a couple of YEARS to really decide that I was going to do it. Now I'm REALLY happy about it. My hair was something that was making me insecure about myself. I'm still insecure about myself because another reasons (may sound funny but it's the truth and I'm being serious lol) but not because of my hair anymore. And yes, you look MUCH better without hair. I'm a woman and a professional barber. Here's my two cents worth. You look fabulous! Now you can take all that time and energy that you used to worry about your hair and channel that into your confidence and doing the things that you really enjoy and Excel at! I'd suggest keeping the beard trimmed and a well-defined. And you're just going to look so well kept! And you have a really nicely shaped head! A lot of people don't do you'd be surprised. Now walk with confidence!

That was one of my comments, he has a great head shape for bald! Also suggested tighten up the beard a little. I am grateful for my full head of shoulder length hair, and would die if I lost it, but some guys just kill with the bald look. This guy from 3/4view totally crushes it. Cheers

As nice as that sounds, for most people that's not how real life works. Unfortunately most people judge books by their cover, and in this day and age if you are a man and are lacking in a number of departments (one in particular) you are bang out of luck when it comes to receiving positive attention from women.

It is amazing and encouraging to watch others going through the same thing like myself, I just shaved it off but I have not taken the step yet to publish it out in the open through social media. And I have to add that I started slowly, first with a #2 trim, two weeks later #1 and then #0. Final step would be post my new look in social media and I do not know why, or maybe I do, but that last one makes me nervous the most. My Muai Thai partners did not care at all, they even said I looked tougher, but I feel anxious about social media, like what my ex girlfriends will think, or my long time friends and so on. I guess what matters is the confidence in myself and peace of mind it gave me, who cares if I no longer have hair in my head, my hair is not me, I am much much much more than that!!

Why would you post it to social media especially if you're so nervous about it? People go bald ( im one of them) just do you man and don't worry about what others think. Say your ex dont like it, then what? Would you be less bald? No you wouldn't so there's no point in worrying, just live your life and try to be happy hair is just hair and yeah i know it sucks not having any but life amirite?

The only thing I learned balding is that, the more you try to hide it the more apparent it becomes. So keep it short or shave it off.

My go to phrase is, "the longer my hair is the balder I look." I started using no guard clippers at about 22 years old when I saw that I basically had a comb-over. Started using a razor twice weekly at about 35 and am very happy with how I look as a proudly bald man.

I started shaving my head weekly since I was young because I joined the Army, I didn't want to deal with the hassle of having hair and keeping it regulation, just easier to take the clippers to it weekly. When my enlistment was up and I got out, started to let my hair grow out and was like well shit, I have like half the hair on top I had before the Army. Just continued shaving it lol. Everyone I know was used to me with a shaved head at this point, so it wasn't a big appearance change for those around me.

Exactly. There are so many benefits to just shaving it off - it shows confidence, you can do it yourself at your convenience, so no more visits or money to barbers... Most importantly - I think the agony for most balding men is not, "What does my hair look like now?" but "What will my hair look like a year, five years, ten years from now?" Shaving it off immediately takes away those fears, and answers the question... it will look exactly like it does now! :)

You look great man! Male balding is strong in my family but I've been shaving since my early 20's so I've not had to worry how my hair looks as it thins. Did leave me wondering how it might look if I grew it...but yeah now I know! You look worlds better with a clean cut. Congrats and welcome to the club!
