They did the motion capture of characters which is how the characters were based on them. Like the eyeroll Lae'zael does is something the actual voice actress does a lot in real life.

I noticed that too. Not EXACTLY like the voice actors, but enough that you can tell they clearly modeled the characters off of them. Except for The Emperor. The character is much better looking than the voice actor, lol.

God hearing Andrew Wincott recreating the "devil you don't know" line gave me actual goosebumps. Raphael has to be one of my favorite villains in video games, and so much of that is thanks to Wincott's phenomenal voice work.

I'd love to see you interview Swen Vincke. I bet that'd be an amazing conversation. He's so charming and insightful and has a true understanding of RPGs. Founders and CEOs of video game companies aren't typically grounded or could get into specific of their products, but he's a wealth of knowledge who understands the genre going at least as far back as Ultima.

What really makes these voice actors stand out is their having great lines. Minthara fantasizes killing her siblings as a romantic point. Asterion, Traps, somebody doesn't want visitors. Tell him to disarm, "Hardly a challenge' or "Simple." Each personality clearly unique and colorful.

Oh man, when Alifra's VA came on screen, it felt so wholesome! And I felt so guilty since ... well ... what happens on the DU playthrough :(

You can save her as DU using some special methods. Basically you gotta quicksave before you go to long rest every night. When the vent triggers you reload the quick save go over to her and knock her out. Then long rest and the replacement bard will be there. That bard is only for that one cutscene if Lafita isn’t available so you don’t have to feel as bad
