My table top character is a Gith so when the game came out I was like WOW! I made a Gith (my table tops mom) and Lae'zel has just impressed me every step of the way. Hers and Gales were my favorites. Lae'zel because its as natural as an alien language can be, and Gales because his lines doesn't sound like acting at all. No overexaggerates accents, no weirdness, just straight up how people talk. Which I think is one of the hardest things to do.

They brought so much to these characters! After seeing the voice actors I am even more attached to the characters because they ARE them. Which is why it was seriously tragic when ***SPOILER*** On honour mode I just had Lae'zel turn on me because I left the room in the Creche with Vlaakith and the Inquisitor without doing anything. I had her walk out of the room and she immediately turned red and hostile. Had to kill her to get all the gear back 😭 This is a Dark Urge run too, so I told myself I would not get emotionally invested. That hit me hard though.

I think it's more that the VAs also do the motion capture (like in 2:02 for example) so the character design naturally works around the body/bone structure that's already there How obvious it is varies but you can usually see the VA in their characters in games like this

I may be alone on this but I find the Lae'zel character inadvertently hilarious. All the characters are really good, but she's probably my favorite and I kept her as a regular throughout my play through. In the beginning she's a bit choncy, but I gave her a Githyanki pass, being that she's from a completely different culture and all, but she becomes seriously cool pun intended.

I'm with Lae'zel on that one... I think it sounds silly as well. Especially when the characters climb up a ledge or a latter. You would think they were f__king or something. Does climbing up a latter need to be that mellow dramatic? It's not the actors fault... I'm sure that's what they were required to do, but in the future they really should tone down the grunting over relatively trivial tasks. If someone gets nailed with a fireball blast or something, then by all means, but to have all 4 characters in succession crown one out everytime they go up a latter/ledge is redic.
