Baldur's Gate 3 Cheat Engine Tutorial

Watch me use CheatEngine to spawn in Legendary items, upgrade my character to max level, and solve all my life problems! Endorsed by Swen Vincke himself.
Armor & Weapon UUID Codes:
I have created a Google Sheets document with all the BG3 item UUIDs in it. I am not going to post it here because KZbin has been really trigger happy with me posting links in my video descriptions. You can find it by googling my Steam page called Yosharian's BG3 Builds and then scrolling down to "Weapon & Armor UUID Datamine" inside the 'Permanent Bonuses and Other Info' section. The link will take you to the Google Sheets document.
Update: apparently there is a bug with the latest version of the BG3.CT file. If you experience this bug, try this:
1) untick Register Commands
2) load the save
3) try to tick Register Commands again

If you click anything too fast while doing things with cheat engine, it will crash the game, so make sure you guys are being SLOW. Once you click to enable something/spawn something, give it a few seconds before turning it off. If you spam/quickly press enabled/disabled, you WILL crash your game.

I can't see the attachments tab on the website for the cheat table...I can only download the latest one in which only the "Broken" section can be opened. I'm not in the game though, I just opened to see if it works, will that section work when I'll be in game?

I picked the wrong item reward from the Waukeen's Rest quest, I was *not* going to start over just for the gain-Lightning-Charges-on-spellhit Staff. I also lost the Sussur Dagger somehow. This is gonna be a huge help

Hey man, I've been trying to figure out how to find item UUID's because I want to spawn in normal clothing and dyes for my playthrough, but for the life of me I can't figure out how to find specific item IDs. Do you know how I could do so? For example, wanting to find the UUID for Angelic Scion clothing, etc

just go to any wiki, they usually have the uuid's for all the items obtainable through console. If not, there's a list on nexusmods

Does it work to flag relationships on and off in local co-op? I'm playing it with my girlfriend and we wanted to mess around with Halsin, but the game only recognizes the relationships of my character (the "host"). If I change the order of the characters, putting her as the player 1, will I be able to do it? (we already have the polyamory mod installed, but it has issues with the multiplayer, so the idea was to break up the romance, sleep with Halsin and then use CE to turn on the romance flag again with the previous partner after they break up).

98282bec-aeaa-4490-ae43-0c27bed58c74 should be the spider's lyre ID if not, theres a masterlist of IDs on the Z Baldur's Gate 3 download site (the cheat engine table you have to download)

Hey if I spawn in the helldusk armor set can I still get it normally later on and have two sets so I could complete the quest? Or does the game just teleport it to my inventory and the quest stays unfinished

Absolutely, the spawned copy is a separate entity and will not interfere with the copy you normally get.

hey man, I got a bit of a problem of how it spawned, basically everything went well until I spawned in the item, the hand crossbow appeared and all but the second time I did it (I didn't save the game or anything) the game just crashed. Anything I can do to avoid this happening?

Pretty sure it's this: 89f511d6-6d36-4480-9ee8-6e0145c960ef The UUIDs are obtained by decompressing the game's data files with a program.

I had cheat engine 7.5 working with the game and was able to see the commands. I can no longer open the drop down list of commands for the preset cheats, xp, gold, etc. It just opens a box to type script in and has an execute button. I didnt change a thing, just went to bed, got back on the next day and it does not work now. I tried uninstalling everything, nothing helps. It sorked first try and I was very happy, but after I closed the pc down and on the next day it just broke. Any ideas?

Reddit posts exist that say they bundled spyware with the Cheat Engine exe that go beyond the junk addon software they bundled into the install. Is this accurate?

There is a PUP (potentially unwanted program) bundled with the installer. You need to click 'No' when it asks you if you want to install the additional program. There is no spyware in the installer as far as I'm aware. I have it installed on my machine and I am not able to discover any malicious or unwanted programs on my system using Malware Bytes. Presumably because I clicked 'no' when it asked me if I wanted to install the additional program. I completely understand if you don't want to risk it, though.

I am searching up and down to find the UUID for Mayrina, to teleport her to me. There isnt a comprehensive list of Character UUIDs out there, but I need it since she is bugged out of existence and all I wanna do is resurrect her ded ole husband while she is present. I think you can edit your character's ability scores with one of the functions in Cheat Engine, not sure where it is though.

that's what i want to do too. I have the +1 charisma but i wnat the +1 dex. I think the best way to do it is to just spawn the +1 dex hairs. I found it in the list, is : "7e3afbf6-4e1a-444e-826d-f8e0e0a8308f",--Quest_HAG_HagHair_Dexterity (Auntie Ethel's Hair)

Im very new, and just realized I had only a few turns to go to the transponder, I used cheat engine and kill both those monsters, now the transponder is gone lol, ill just restart the game, I'm just a the very beginning. go to options > video and set your resolution and/or display mode to something lower so you have the window be smaller and can see both the game and cheat engine at once

yeah, it is directly below where you imput the ID into, you should see "TemplateAddToPlayer(item, 1)" just change the 1 to whatever number of items you want to get

Ah, no I don't think so. If you want a cheat to be 'active' every time you play, you have to load CE up every time.

go onto the page, open item ids and then click control + f or go to the 3 dots, click find in page and then type in what you want to find. i did a quick search and couldnt find its code unfortunately.

you can only do one at a time, but you can have others in the group. you might have done it wrong, you have to do this: console commands > register commands > companion cheats then do this: select the MC in game (i think this one is optional/you select it if you want to do both, but i do it just to be sure) click so "for all cheats, execute scripts 1 and 2 first" is checked/enabled click on "select main character and activate this script" go in game and switch to the companion you want to get approval/attitude for click on "select companion and activate this script then proceed to click (AND LEAVE IT ON) whichever one you want. give it a few seconds (i give it 10-30), then click it again to turn it off if you click anything too fast while doing things with cheat engine, it will crash the game

When I click Register Commands it just pops up a window and says load saved game. Selecting a saved game does not work and adding a code and hitting execute just causes a syntax error. I made sure to have the newest table as well.

Make sure you have the latest BG3.CT file from FearlessRevolution. When you click 'Console Commands', go back to BG3, and make sure you have a savegame loaded. Then go back to the Cheat Engine program and click 'Register Commands'. If you get an error, go back to BG3, then go back to CE, then try Register Commands again. It should work. It's a minor bug I think.
