so as long as they keep it to 5e it all falls under the Open Gaming License (OGL). Larian wasnt allowed to release the full kit but WOTC cant actually stop mods as long as they are free. or not stolen from One D&D.

This is awesome but I'd still like a DLC to address Avernus and the Karlach issue. She deserves a chance at happiness DAMMIT. Wyll, Her, and I all went to Avernus because ain't no way I'm letting my home girl die that easy. They left us so many teases in the expanded post game update. I don't mind it's ok if they never make a DLC (They're not going to I've accepted that I'd still pay good money for it)

I was in the Cursed Lands on my 2nd run when the mods were implemented. I'm now finishing this run with a party of 7 (all chars with storyline), combined with a brand-new enemy health boost of 200% on Tactician (works perfectly while waiting for the Tactician Enhanced difficulty mod announced by the author of the Adjusted Party Size mod) and accompanied by Scratch who has grown to a magnificent and strong White Shepherd. What can I say. I'm having a blast, and the constant chitchat of the companions is hilarious. After the Holidays, when things get quiet again, I'll jump into the builder, and probably modding, too. This game will survive me. 100%. And that's exactly why I won't waste money on the arcade game Dragon Age sadly has become.

I'm just hoping the NPCs are voiced by people and they don't use AI to clone the voices of the actors, that would be a huge betrayal given how they feel about it and the whole human labour that went into the game. Remember to show your love for the game in the same way the people who made it.

But it's not like the modders are making any money off of it.. seems to me that would be the perfect use of AI voice clones. Get a volunteer actor to record the lines with proper acting, then run it through the AI to make their recordings sound like the original actor. Unless the OG cast is willing to lend their voices to free modding projects (highly unlikely), it's not like they're losing a job. To me, this seems like a good way for the community to make fun stuff... Right?

I think it should be doable. Something like NWN style DMFI wand with custom scripting and we are half done. Permanent flying and invisibility for PC. And turns should not affect him and ability to take control any NPC. And of course custom campaign/PW that supports DMs. Official one would be so scripted that it would not work.

Would love to see an NPC AI voice chat mod so players could literally talk, via mic, rather than having to click on pre-scripted options. There is already a mod for that on skyrim.

@@caechi Dude it’s a proof of concept lol. No a fully fledged mod. It’s only been a couple weeks since I’ve had access to the tools. Right now it’s a case of figuring out how to do all this stuff. Give it time 😊

Please try to remember that people who make maps don't make a profit off of these. We therefore don't have the means to just dump alot of money on voice acting. It might not seem like it, but paying voice actor requires a pretty hefty budget. These maps are made from passion for the love of the game and not for monetary purposes. And since it is not lucrative work in any way, no voice actors will normally be hired. There might be people who use AI voices, but I highly doubt paid actors will make their way into custom maps. Sorry

It’s still early days but I would say these kids will most likely not be submitted to the integrated mod manager and will probably need to be downloaded from Nexus. But will let you know when I know more 😊

Know what would be a cool quest someone should make that I’d like to do would be add in sofina from dungeons and dragons honer among theives and get her the necromancy book and the purple rock that you can place in it to open it for her since it’s a book of thay she wants it and if you give them to her she’ll thank you and reward you with something if you opened it and read it she will become hostile and do something to you like maybe make you her undead servant or something and if you just refuse she’ll get hostile and attack you.
