Baldur's Gate 3 - Fighter Solo Raphael on Tactician in 2 Turns

For this fight I used Crawler Mucus Poison. If Targed fail Constitution Saving Throw it will be Paralised for 2 turns. Paralised is powerfull Status Effect. Entity can't move or take actions and attacks aganist entity are always critical hits if the attacker is within 3m. I never used those potions before, but for this fight its amazing since Raphael have high hp poll and alot of AC. I found them in Act 2 from nurses in Malus Thorm fight.

This quest was so fun. I played it like a stealth mission until the very last showdown. Had to fight to get out. Will definitely remember this one for a while. Larian raised the bar in quests for me. And this wasn’t even a mandatory quest.

I found out about this fight, when I looked at the soundtrack. In my first playthrough it never occured. I met Raphael in Act I and Act II but after slaying the Orthon in Shars Tomb, I never met him again 😅

Also the voice actor for Raphael has a really cool raspy voice, so it works really well. Side note.... Yurgir looks and sounds like South Park Satan, which is hilarious. Speaking of South Park... there's a show also known for its musical numbers...

In act 3 you can just paralyze/hold every single boss to victory.. Automatic crit and they can't do shit. Trivializes everything. Raphael doesn't even has Legendary action/resistence, which makes it even easier. People see his HP and panic but in fact, he is very weak. This game is a breeze tbh.

Hold spells and stun effects are in the game to be used and opting out of them is akin to a challenge run. If you use every tool in your bag of tricks the game is easy even on tactician. If you intentionally abstain from them then the game is harder, what a concept.

There is epic medium armor that ignores +2 ac limit, so 17 base and +5 from 20 dex. 2 shield, 1 cloak, 1 boots, 1 defence fighting style, 2 haste.

I was surprised on how easy it was too- I fought him at lv11 and people were saying how hard it was to beat him. I only restarted the whole fight since towards the end he 1 shot Hope, and I needed the gloves of soul catching for my monk. Poisons are OP in this game as well as arrows.

I used my sweet mace of Lathander to keep Raphael perma-blind. Had tons of summons to kill the pillar and my cleric sweet talked the one devil into helping us. It was a glorious easy fight. :)

I used Joy as a nuke and had her divine inspiration use the mass Radiance AOE. She immediately died but removed all of their radiance reflects, and brought all the adds to 50% hp. She had one final laugh.

If you respecing you can start rouge or ranger. At 5 you can change to fighter or stay ranger. And on 8 lvl full fighter or 5 fighter/ranger and 3 ranger/rogue. 11 full fighter becouse he gets extra attack x2 with all those buffs you can get 4 more attacks with this feature first round.

There is a bug in the game, extra attack applies to any attack you make outside of your attack action too, so things like elixir of bloodlust, speed potion all give three extra attacks instead of just one.

@@jeroen92that is not a bug, as a lvl 11 fighter any time you use an action to attack you get 2 extra attacks. The actions from haste and bloodlust also work the same way. Add in action surge and yes, a fighter can attack 12 times in a single turn

Surprised ya didn't roll with Bhaalist Armor to make enemies vulnerable to Piercing to double your dmg output. And Risky Ring so you have Advantage on all attacks 24/7. That + more Illithid powers for Cull the Weak insta killing on 23 hp would've probably allowed you to do it in a single turn. Is lvl 12 fighter worth it opposed to dipping into Thief + Gloomstalker + 1x into Warlock for Great Old One & Pact Weapon and still getting Action Surge + Champion from Fighter?

High level fighter has 3 attacks, haste gives 3 more, action surge gives 3 more, Elixir of Bloodlust gives 1 extra action per turn if you kill something which he did with the bouncing shot, so that's 3 more attacks. Fighter 3, haste 3, AS 3, EofB 3 = 12 attacks which is how many he first in the first turn.

Fighter gets 3 attacks at level 11. Haste gives another full set, getting you to 6. Action surge another 3, so that's 9. Elixir of bloodlust another 3 to get to the 12 you see here.

@@kx7670 requires more set up but it was. Make him wet. Cast brand the weak. Thunderous smite with Channel divinity. Gurantee crit than upcast divine smite to spell slot 4. Half orc for more crit damage. If I remember right he was pretty much dead by the second smite
