Baldur's Gate 3 HIGHEST DAMAGE SUBCLASS TIER LIST

Ranking all the highest damage subclasses in Baldur's Gate 3 on a tier list! Some classes are just better at rules such as damage than other classes, where some do healing and some do crowd control. I want to rank these classes based on how much they bring to the table in terms of dealing pure raw damage. And I'll be pitting them off again other subclasses but also more heavily weighed between the other subclasses of that particular class.
If your favorite class was ranked low its because the other subclasses of that class are just better at dishing out damage. All classes are viable in Baldur's Gate 3! Expect maybe the arcane trickster haha

Yessirrrr. It’s the strongest single target damage in the game and it just doesn’t miss. With rogue thief for the extra bonus action it can hit hard. Ascended Astarion gets the bonus damage which turns it even crazier

@@JasonDunna It was so powerful in fact that I chose it on my first playthrough with no prior DnD knowledge on beginner mode. I ran through the game so easily that by act 2.5 I deleted that save file and went straight to tactician with the Monk.

Open Handed Monk, Thief, Tavern Brawler made me laugh at how easy hard fights became. Especially a certain construct at Grymforge.

Sense this one is a damage tier list, I would put Lore Bard a tier down because as a monoclass bards doesn't have that much damage and most of the early game you'll find yourself shooting from an light crossbow Valour Bard however, I would put it at the F tier for sure lol, like, it doesn't have many damage spells and the second attack comes only after lvl 6, I honestly dealt more damage as the Arcane Trickester hahah I love your tier lists bro

Yeah I agree the lore bard does lack a bit. It can get spirit guardians and hunger of hadar at level 6 which is nice but I’d rather play a different class

Sword bard gets slashing flourishes as well which are functionally two attacks for a single attack action

Light clerics also get radiance of the dawn for their channel divinity which is a massive aoe applying radiant orbs to every enemy hit if you have the proper gear

@@JasonDunna Throw in assassin in there and you have pretty much everything dead on the first round. Yeah you lose some spells but the guaranteed crit is very nice, champion or 2 fighter also giver the class a lot more of damage.

Full disclosure for this comment, I didn't actually watch your video, I just skipped to the end to see where you ranked them. So If I'm mouthing off or saying dumb stuff that you already accounted for, so be it & apologies, but I just figured I'd give my two cents on a few of them really quick: I'd argue that Oath of Ancients Paladin is pretty damaging as well. Great Weapon Fighting Style & Great Weapon Mastery feat & the ring that gives bless when you heal, and a powerful two handed great weapon, and a strength elixir of your choice, and they can really do some serious damage. Maybe not as much as the other pally subclasses, but the extra support & free AoE non concentrate bless is pretty nice, and helps make up for the lack of accuracy of the Great Weapon Master feat. If you're using a Tavern Brawler throwing build (esp combined with a strength elixir, natch) for it, Eldritch Knight is CRAZY powerful/damaging. Maybe not as much as OH TB Monk, but still.

I did go into detail on them but yeah Oath of Ancients is good, I just weighted it more heavily against the other Paladin subclasses which are more damage focused Thanks for watching a bit of the video!

The only situation in the entire game where you have to deal big damage to one single target, is Apostle. Other than that, monk is actually kinda useless. Are you going to overkill every creature with your 1000 damage Flurry, when almost every battle in the game involves a dozen enemies? How many ki points and actions per turn do you have?

Interesting take from Bruce Lee! It’s as effective if not more effective than a fighter! With rogue thief for an extra bonus action it can attack 5 times per turn with flurry of blows being pretty big damage. You also get ki resonation blast for AoE damage

Stunning two different enemies in the first round and taking a chunk out of another one is not a bad way to start a fight. And with all the ways of restoring ki, you can do that seven times per short rest.

​@@andybodle7560 that's 3 ki points and your entire turn for not killing two creatures, and may or may not kill one creature. Sounds like bad economy to me. Ki restoration also means you are spending your green action doing nothing, also bad economy. Seven times means seven times the bad economy.

@@BruceLee-kf7rl That's not 3 ki points. Bonus unarmed strike requires none. Restore your ki outside combat. Wonder how your hypersensitivity will oblige you to counter this time.

How is Lore Bard rated so high damage wise? It's the class that is super useful but as far as damage is concerned, there is not much there. Godly control? Yes. Damage? Hell no.

The magical secrets getting spirit guardians and then at level 10 getting cone of cold is pretty strong, but sword bard is much better. Last time I didn’t rank the lore bard that high and people didn’t like that 😂 I experimented with it and it’s not bad

@@JasonDunna Well, lore bard was the only save of mine that I outright deleted because I was so fed up with the lack of damage, so I had a viscereal reaction to that ranking.

Hahaha that is totally fair. It doesn’t come online til later but it’s not the worst class, sword bard is just a lot better
