Currently I'm doing a half orc barbarian wanted to try something different as a long time fan of half orc race since DND times in high school I felt it was time to redo my old orc, though berserker is tougher however but again I'm trying something different two weapon style flail/morning star sling idk just felt like having a sling heard good stuff about it so why not fits my toon plus I may even try shield and sling for defense purposes

Yeah, the Berserker Rage is a bit different from the Barbarian Rage. I think both are great but I actually like the Berserker slightly more than the Barbarian since they get more attacks. But Barbarians are fantastic choices for tanks due to that damage reduction. When I told a friend of mine that I was playing Baldur's Gate EE again, he just said "Two-Weapon Fighting plus Grandmastery in a Weapon..." then walked away. I think the second part of that thought was "...is a fantastic choice for a huge number of attacks and therefore maximizing damage." Flails/Morning Stars are a solid weapon choice, especially if you bring that toon to BG2... you KNOW why!

I would say that Fighters could do a bit better by putting their points into Two-Weapon Fighting Style rather than a distance weapon. If a Fighter REALLY needs to keep their distance, then they can take axes or daggers.

I can see that, but I'd say that if someone is brand new to the game then taking one distance option (especially in BG 1) is a good idea. For veterans, going straight into two weapons is a good choice if they are okay with sacrificing AC.

Thank you for that! Yeah, I'll need to update those videos based on my experiences this year with more SCS Hardcore play under my belt, but basic point: keep it short, concise, and coherent.

Please go more into detail about the str percentile. Why is it not that big of a deal to have a high number? I have never understood this. Some say it is, others say it is not. I know on the chart once you get a str of 19, the percentile is not there.

Thanks for the question! The percentile that Warrior classes (Fighters, Rangers, and Paladins) have the potential to add to their chances to hit (their THAC0), their damage, their ability to bash locks, and their maximum carrying weight. The differences, especially for THAC0 and damage are +1 and certain percentiles, which is nice but not earth shattering. This is only at 18 Strength as having a 19 Strength gives even further benefits to these things beyond an 18/00 Strength. I would say that if you are rerolling your ability scores and you’re comparing between having a few extra points into Intelligence or Charisma and have a much higher percentage for that exceptional Strength value, go ahead and go for that score. However, if your total is at a 90 or above and you want to dual class or have a high score in something else, you don’t need to panic about having a slightly lower percentage since the goal is towards something else. In short: the higher the percentile, the better your Fighter can be at hitting their targets, the more they can carry, and the more likely they are to bash open locks. I hope this helps! I’ll explain this better when I go into the Fighter kits.

I can't find a leveling guide or new plsurr guide under 30 mins. I wanna play the game not spend all day watching the video lol

So I tried to keep all of the Starter Guides for the classes in BGEE under 15 minutes or so. Leveling guides can be a bit tricky because there's a lot of detail and there are quite a few options for how to level up your character for different scenarios, so I imagine that those would take a longer time.

I noticed that the 2+ hours guides are a bit much unless the video is going into specific details of things for veterans of the game or of D&D (spells guides, for example, need to discuss a lot of details and definitely need that time). I just feel that you don't need 2+ hours to say "Fighters fight. Give them a weapon, any weapon, and some armor, any armor, and send them in to do damage." Looking back, I'm happy that I broke it apart into each class and then did kit reviews. Even though I'll need to go back on a few of them with what I know about recording now (some five and a half months later), I'm still incredibly happy that people find the starter guides useful!
