Bale grazing for biological fertility and healthier pastures-Greg Halich

The Greg Judy Rejuvenation Ranch Channel uses Bale Unrollers to spread the Hay out to create a larger feeding and biologic impact area. Spreading the Hay may be a better option than Hay Rings. The Bale Unrollers have one axel and two wheels. Two metal spikes are inserted into the Bale and pulled by a Gator. Interesting information regarding the drought resistant deep rooted Chicory and Rib grass plantain. I have found granola bars with Chicory cause indigestion. Unfortunate there was no time for questions. Good presentation and video. The audio was good. Consider installing Owl nest boxes on your property. Owls eat rodents that host ticks, attract and feed Bobcats, Coyotes and Pit Vipers. There are not enough quality nesting cavities for Barn, Screech and Northern Saw-Whet Owls. Have a High School Wood Shop student build one for your property as a class project. Silvopasture is more productive than just Pasture. Consider planting appropriate varieties of trees to provide shade for both animals and forage on the long hot Summer days. Consider using either Goats or Sheep to clear unpalatable Cattle forage rather than mowing.

We have armadillos in southwest kentucky, been seeing them dead on highways for a couple of years now.

Dear Mr Halich. I have two questions, First. Did you plantain clover and Chirory? or the seed came in the bales? and after grazzing the bales the seed appears? And the second one. One bale for how many cows? how long did the cows stay at the field before you move it? you calculate the bale assuming 1.000 pound/cow weight?

The scratching is probably turkeys would be what I would think and they love worms and bugs.
