Cool video! Another thing that’s awesome about slingers is that their projectiles are much heavier (ranging to up to 500g) compared to an average arrow (ranging at up to around 50g), meaning that the former can act as armor piercing rounds that can shatter shields at given speed. Balearic slingers are also said to have been armed with 3 slings of different lengths for different ranges (long for long range to short for short ranges - the latter does not require much spinning to fire compared to the former)

Are they armour piercing units? What sucks is that you can’t set ablaze enemy artillery or shoot on top walls. Its like a crossbow

@@saguntum-iberian-greekkons7014 I don't know if they pierce armor, I just consider their attack points and high range. Despite what You Say they are the Best when attacking a city. If You make a hole in enemy walls and put this slinger just outside, they Will kill everything in front of them.

Really? They should had put it in Rome 2 this feature. Playing with Iberian factions you don’t have this luxury to (great range) set ablaze enemy artillery or ships. … but you have ballista? Ok, no archers but artillery? 😅

But nobody says if they had other units, or were they all set on slings by default? The Greeks named them well, Gymnasai, which means naked, they surely fought with shirts/tunics. Remember its hot in these islands, i imagine more Balearic and other Mediterranean barbarians fighting torso naked then nordic people who could get a cold,
