Baler Knotters Maintenance Part 1

Dad and I used to joke about how we have both forgotten more about knotters, than most "baler mechanics"... Sadly, we really weren't joking. Always done our own knotter work. Once in a while, actually call for some help, but all that ever amounts to is a fresh set of eyes. Sometimes it's worth the high price to have someone find something we missed. Now it's me and my oldest daughter, sometimes we look to the heavens and ask the old man to take a look.. I've seen more "baler mechanics" bust knife arms.. there is such a thing as too🤬 tight on them!! One hit too many, equals busted knife arm and usually busted billhook.. that kind of stuff should come out of their paycheck... (Sorry for the rant...)
