So much progress :-D, Now the owner of the baler needs to lubricate it often so it lasts. LOL that's a joke :-D. Business owners never spend money on anything unless they are forced to. You did a great job of refreshing the 90 degree gearing assembly, it sort of reminds me of a vehicle differential.

I always say to my clients that maintenance is always cheaper than repair. Still they don't really get it but complain on the repair costs every time.

@@Frank-Thoresen There are people that don't bother to keep there car maintained A silly attitude :-( Checking the vehicle for fluids and a tire pressure check can help. I don't have a car, just a small motorbike, every week end i checked the basics and it never caught me out.

I saw that snap on thermal imager and it reminded me of how I buy tools and gadgets that I probably won’t use every day but it’s also the reason why mechanics or welders will never be super rich because we are always buying shit 🤦‍♂️ lol sometimes shit we don’t even need haha

@@OFW At 6:00 the outer race of this bearing should be fixed und not be greased. It will spin and destroy the housing.
@billblogs8206

@@OFW At about 4:21 . This is all speculation on my behalf, I'm not the man on the ground and I don't have all the facts but it looked to me like that cup will spin with the cone inside the housing. There didn't look like there was hardly any friction when you put it in so I would have used a bit of 638 or similar to fix it in place. It looks like a super low speed drive anyway so it may never be a real problem like a high speed one would. That sprocket at the end was mint by the way!

I agree that they should be tight and not move. They were loose coming out and there was no scarring. The manufacturer said it’s supposed to be that way.

Very surprised that you couldn't get a sandblasting company to do the frame in California. Was it a too short notice? Most field jobs are short notice anyway. Wirewheel it is in fact just a punishment.

I’m real curious how you approach a bid for job like this, I’m just starting out as a welding business owner. Is this something that you just give a day rate or an hourly price and it takes as long as it takes?
