I used to like all that white, but now I realize it just reminds me of a hospital. Very sterile and cold. This house needs some wood and moldings to warm it up. I don't mind light and airy, but it doesn't feel comfortable when there's no warmth at all.

There's also no depth. When she pointed at the 'curved wall', I was like... "where?". It all gets lost in the blank space. It has insane asylum vibes to it, and then the pops of bright color and weird shapes just make it look unhinged.

I was so excited to see this house, after their stunning house in OZ that was featured here, but this was disappointing, I thought the artwork comical, and it didn't feel like a comfortable home to live in, more so a place to make money from at the cost of feeling like home.

So good to see Sophie back! I am a huge 3 birds girl - hoping Sophie moves back to aus and does another Aus house because the last one was fab in that beautiful bush landscape!! I do worry 3 birds could become a little bit tricky for the general public to relate to just with the amount of money that seems to be behind some of these properties/projects these days…. Hoping the money and the lavish lifestyle some of these homes portray don’t put people off! I’m sure the girls know what they’re doing though and just love what they are doing for the most part! Especially love the friendship and girl power xx

I loved the last build with Soph too and enjoy her instagram immensely. I like seeing this family build their portfolio, yes it is very luxe but they are betting on themselves and really going for it and thriving with their artistry etc. I’m shocked at all the negative comments. I take it for what it is- it’s a risk they’ve taken that’s paid off and they are going the more luxe route with accommodation and lifestyle. I can appreciate all kinds of builds

beautiful houses with uncomfortable looking chairs 😳. This would have been a great opportunity to showcase some great Balinese art? Indonesia has the most beautiful carved artwork for doors, furniture, wall art- would have complemented the white beautifully.

the comment about them just loving to watch the farmers in the rice fields while sipping on morning coffee was really off putting. I really liked Sophie and Bell but I'm really sickened by this new colonialism that forever changes the economy and home security for local people for mostly if not always white, sorry but it is a fact, people bringing dollar amounts and resources that take more and more property from local people, who usually end up commuting to hospitality and service job in service to these same people, higher property taxes, fewer resources and lowered aspirations. They see foreigners take up space in luxurious homes and they cycle more and more into tourism dependent economies. Australia already had a horrible history and present of Aboriginal removal and marginalizing...and now they and all other foreigners to these beautiful countries do this in some bastardized version of "finding themselves", "healing" or plain I like it there so I stay there mentalities. Just because you make relationships or share kind exchanges, doesn't mean those people don't go home feeling further marginalised in their own homes or lost sense of self. Even language about high end versus real life living is gross. As if their intentions are to cater again to your non native wants. I'm not into this sort of thing and it is disappointing. Nothing is aspirational when someone else cannot envision that for their people in their home. Look at what has been happening in Hawaii, even look at White Lotus season 1, if the report is too scary for you. Whitewashing ones entire existence so you can "vacation forever" is gross. You can't play cool and laid back when you know you have an upper hand and used it.

I understand that interior design is personal and it looks like this woman really like her "beautiful villas", so good for her! I don't get why the second you go to Bali you forget the word house and start using the word villa but anyway. So much white literally blinded me from the screen, so I don't want to know what is like in person. The colorful accents are just not enough to break all the whiteness. What bothers me in this design is that is modern and funky now with all the curves and everything but I'm %100 certain that this trend and very transient and after a couple of years it will be GONE! Then they'll have to sledge hammer half of the purposely build in furniture and transform it into the next trend. Everything aside, this is not the first influencer who brags about watching the farmers do the hard farming job in the rice fields while they sip their coffee... So colonial, so arrogant. What happened in Bali is just heartbreaking. Seeing the locals diminished to servents to the rich western influencers... Their farming land taken away to build just another all white "villa" which will be rented out for $1000 a night. The ricefield she loves so much will likely be gone in a few years and another concrete "'villa" will be erected just in front of them... Until Bali is "whitewashed" for good. 😔

Please, Please, Please! Expand your vocabulary for the word ‘BEAUTIFUL’ - there are many other adjectives you can use. Not just this episode - all three birds overuse the word beautiful - it detracts from the lovely work you do, it is such a high standard but overusing this word detracts from the brilliant work you do and the amazing way you all work together. I really enjoy 3🐦 but it needs to be said. 💛
