BALI FISHING // BLUEFIN CATCH AND COOK // LOCALS SHOW ME HOW ITS DONE!// BIG BARRACUDA

Join me as I travel the world and pursue my love for fishing, I go in search of those hard fighting fish from the shore using poppers, stick baits and jigs. I'm also a keen kayak angler in the uk, so make sure you subscribe for your fishing fix.
In this video I spent a few days fishing Nusa dua with the only result being a Bluefin travally which we took back to a local lads house and he kindly prepared and cooked for me and his family. With the big tides and strong winds I decided to travel north to Bukit Asah to escape the large swells. This is where the fishing was frustrating for me but I got to see some amazing wildlife and the local really did show me how its done. With a total of 8 barracuda landed that week and a mahi mahi, unfortunately I didn't get there in time to film the mahi mahi or some barracuda the fishing gave me lots of hope. with 8-10 people fishing the same 15m stretch of rock and only upto 3 fish landed a day it was a lottery and it just wasn't my week loosing a fish on the last day due to no wire trace. learnt lots and made some good memories!

Mate - I feel your pain!!! Great video - thank you! Very few lure fishing from shore vids in Bali... I presume from your comment below you're using the Shimano STC dual tip 2.4/2m shore/boat 40-300g rod? Am curious to know you views on it with all the travelling around you do? I've been seriously considering getting the 3.0/2.4 28-300g version for doing identical stuff.

Hi thanks for watching and I’m glad you enjoyed the videos! I don’t know any places you can rent fishing equipment but I know a couple of people who can take you fishing. If you manage to find so fishing rods you can head to bukit Asha or Ahmed. Main target up there is barracuda, 50g stick bait and a wire trace, early morning are best. As you seen at nusa dua (blow hole) I caught the blue fin so there are fish there but I’m Afraid you’ll have to put in the hours anywhere you go!

Shimano stc travel rod 40-300gr. Penn spinfisher 7500 80lb braid with a 80lb leader. To target the barracuda, use a pink lure and a wire trace. Check out the links below 👇🏻
