Balinese Folk Dances that visitors to the island came to love and mesmerize was actually originated in the Hindu ceremony. Many of the Balinese dances are inspired by the Hindu epic Ramayana and Mahabarata. We returned from Bali to India after a week long tour. Bali gave us very fond memories. Wish I could I stay there for some months.
