yes , i agree da nang is more to a beach city. you could find high rise building there (can we say that da nang is miami of south east asia?), which you could not find it in bali, i think the Bali government has a "special rules" about this high rise building... you could look for this information from the locals. So, they are not comparable.... i think bali is more comparable to bohol or siargao, might be? actually, in sanur or amed beach in the east of bali, you could watch the sunrise, i assume so far you only visit around west bali (Canggu, seminyak, kuta) which you could ONLY see the sunset. Those west area have a great vibe for digital nomads who stay for a long period, definitely... and of course it becomes overpriced, but might be not for some foreigners. I prefer you use term "west bali". Bali beaches is definitely not the best beaches in indonesia which has a thousand miles of coast line. The best white beaches you could find in bajo (and other flores part), south lombok, belitung, raja ampat, some part of sulawesi, some part of maluku. I hope foreigner youtubers who come to indonesia could explore other parts of indonesia much much more instead of bali only. Talking about indonesian food, there are only 3 things : too oily/greasy, too sweet, and too spicy... delicious but definitely not good for health. LOL...

Danang, Danang Danang is a clear winner for my wife and I. Eight trips to Bali and one trip to Vietnam, but it's Vietnam the clear winner for us. My Khe Beach is gorgeous. We love the way Danang lights up, every building and all the bridges it's like Christmas all year round. The Dragon spewing out fire is awesome, and cruising along the river at night is amazing. It's a city so lots to do whereas Bali is an Island. Danang has cheaper beer, food and accommodation. No one hassles you to buy at the beach. We still like Bali so my advice is to visit both places. Not really an apple to apple comparison. Bali is an Island, with much more land mass, of course Bali has a lot more to offer. But on the other hand, Bali is not as convinient as Danang as you need to spend time a bit more from one point to another point of attraction in Bali, plus narrow road with occasionally heavy traffic makes commuting in Bali is not convinient to do. But Balinese culture and architecture, if you like art and culture, combine with its rich nature making it so different.

Thank You for giving us a fair comparison between the 2 places. Since 1 is a mainland city, 1 is an island, it’s quite hard to compare … apple to orange? What I see DN is quite commercialized while Bali is still “raw”, not very commercialized … It’s up to people’s tastes/point of views to love one or the other. Like Hawaii, some people prefer Maui over Oahu (with Honolulu its capital) or vise versa because 1 is not very commercial (Maui) compared to the other (Oahu) … You are very lucky to get out of VN on time. I heard life is very tough now due to lockdowns everywhere … Anyway, enjoy life as much as you can while in Bali and stay safe … P. And i have my fair share of Indonesian food and while i like it, it;s too oily, heavy and greasy for me. Vietnamese food is my top 3 cuisines so food-wise, it pick Danang. The beach behind you is ugly but I know there are better beaches in Bali so beach, I'll go with Bali. Culturally, I think Bali is more interesting so Bali wins there. And you probably want to take into account when the tourists are back in Bali full-force. Traffic will be much worse in Bali and it'll be a lot more crowded. And of course, the cost will certainly go up.

Da Nang has a city vibe, Bali has more island vibes... personally Bali wins... its paradise on earth if you exclude those snob yoga gurus ! Da Nang feels smaller. .although the beach is nice

Vietnam is going through some hardships right now, thousands of cases per day and hundreds of deaths, markets are closed, streets are empty as people only allowed outside for essential purposes, curfew after 6, lots of people not able to pay rent and has to rely on charity for food. Let's give Vietnam some space to deal with her health problems.

Indonesia has 5 or 6 times more covid total cases and daily infections are much much more than Vietnam. However, it seems like life goes on in Bali whereas in Vietnam they're under lockdown for weeks and likely go on a lot longer.

Seems like more junk on the Bali beach in your video than thecDanang beaches, which I had also noticed on my visits to both places. I am not a surfer. I prefer Danang.

What about career opportunities as an English teacher? Is it easier, more jobs, and higher pay and better in Bali over DaNang?
@RalphClescaVlogs3 жыл бұрын
English teaching doesn't seem to be a thing in Bali honestly... so Da Nang would win that category. In Da Nang almost everyone i knew was teaching at a school there... here in Bali it's a lot more diversified and much more digital nomads...

Food in indonesia is way underrated. Stil a hidden gem. But its okay tho. We will enjoy our food ourselves. Let the mexicans, indians, chinese, thai etc fight over the title who has the best food.

To sum up what Ralph is saying, If you want a home with a beautiful beach, go to Danang and once in a while travel to Bali for Holidays. You can’t live in Bali. It’s just too inconvenient. Plus stay away from that beach in Bali with all the graffiti and trash on the ground, you are giving Bali a bad rep. If Bali only has the nice waves to offer, it better be good. The city of Bali should clean up. How can it be a top notched beach destination with a beach like that?…:-)) Sorry, I like a clean golden sanded beach with sparkles blue water.

From your last video and this I have come to the conclusion that Bali is not condusive with someone with physical disabilities. The last video you had to go down multiple steps to get to your place, thus having to go up those steps. Of course there are many more islands around Bali that might be better suited for someone with physical disabilities to enjoy the beauty that Bali has to offer. With this video if you are trying to save money probably not great with a young family and a baby. If the most cost effective way is to stay in a Villa. I have never been to Bali but the food would be one of the reasons I would love to go. Enjoy your time in Bali

If you want to see sunrise.go to sanur beach, and want.too see beach beside road, come to area kuta beach, if you want go calm wave come to nusa dua beach, so many places in bali you must come, so i think its too ealier to compare with danang

I enjoy your boyish enthusiasm. That sort of optimism rubs off Sadly when I was in Vietnam over ten years ago, Danang was still a construction zone, Hoi An was too small, sleepy; Na Trang lacked soul & HCMC rapacious. However you have tweaked my interest. It may be time for another visit In those days Cambodia oozed charm, less so these days; a victim of Chinese overdevelopment
@vietbui94733 жыл бұрын
that's right. China is destroying Cambodia's natural environment and they destroy everything they set foot on. really bad

I knew you were going to say it's a tie. What I see is Bali looks dirty & underdeveloped as compared to De Nang. However, it seems more lively & exciting than De Nang. I feel the electricity there comparing the two. Either way it seems living in either place you can not go wrong. Thank you got the video Ralph. Salud.

I think that in the end Bali will have more to offer due to it's diversity over places like Da Nang that maybe very nice but more monolithic.

I love Bali, for a holiday. But to actually live, Da Nang would be a better option for me.
