Just found this on a "Bali Beach Club Website": So, according to Balinese officials, things haven’t been quite as successful as first announced. Only 40% of visitors have paid the tax and that means there will now be spot checks put in place at tourist sites to ensure that you have paid. Visitors will now be expected to demonstrate that they have paid the tax or be asked to pay it on the spot. Interestingly, there is no penalty to be applied, for now, for those caught not having paid.

100% Bali has lost tourists, it is nowhere near as touristy anymore in many areas of Bali except canggu. I don't voice my opinion and say what are my true feelings regarding what is happening here in Bali as I do not wish to be a drama channel like many others posting click bate titles to get views and make money. I love Bali, it's being my home for 12 years and I would never post anything negative or controversial just to start a debate to get many comments and views, I concentrate on providing accurate, honest content to try and help tourists and to promote businesses by awareness.

Every hotel has a different policy and also I really show everything at hotels by zooming in zooming out which gets close so you can see everything therefore some hotels may not be happy with this style of filming unless everything in the hotel is in good order.

Yes many people ask around the streets where you stay for motorbike with driver, gojek & grab drivers will also sometimes do that as a private fixed price job without using the app. Many of the tour booking agents can usually organise motorbike and driver also. Which area are you staying?

I think it is mandatory. I am not 100% sure on this. You can pay online or at the airport.

You can do that online now and you recieve a bar code to scan as you pass through customs. I think you can also still do at the airport upon arrival.

Best to purchase tourist tax online before your arrival as the tourist counter is only there for information purposes. If you arrive in bali on the 11th then put the 11th also best to do your customs declaration card online before arrival.

No I don't think so. It's a very strange system. They have the counter inside the arrivals hall where nobody really speaks english just to tell you to pay the tax online. I came through immigration on 29th April nobody asked anything .

Maybe not😁. I don't know what happens if you don't pay it and who is checking it. Either everyone is paying it online before arrival or nobody is paying it because I did not see anyone go to the tax desk in all the time I was at the airport.

It's easy to do on the Love Bali app and everyone should support the country even if it's not currently being enforced it was like less than £10 for me which is nothing really, roll on weekend as il be going to BALI for 2 weeks 🎉🎉🎉🎉

Still have to pay visa on arrival £30 and then use a computer to generate qr code for immigration, has to be a quicker way to do things, should just put the visa, QR code for immigration and the levy all on the same QR code keeps it all in one place
