BALI | TOP 6 ATTRACTIONS | FROM CANDIDASA

In this Bali Travel Guide we share our top 6 attractions to visit from Candidasa. This was our 5th trip to Bali but just the first time we’d stayed in Candidasa. To be honest, before this trip we hadn’t heard of any of these attractions. We stayed in Candidasa for just 3 nights and ventured out everyday to see as much as we could. From these 6 attractions we have to say the Besakih Temple, Mount Lempuyang Temples and Tirta Gangga were the most impressive and definitely worth making the trip to even if you’re not staying in Candidasa.
If you think there are other attractions in the area we missed (we’re sure there are a few. We travel with kids so it can be hard to see everything) please tell everyone in the comments. We’d love to hear about it and try to include it on our next visit to Bali.

The World n Us I was there last July and went to Ubud and Uluwatu! We spent 10 days there but have so much more to see! No plans in the immediate future, but I’d like to go back soon!

Thanks heaps Peter and Yen 😊 I think we’re starting to find our style in the type of videos we create. We actually did 3 different travel vlogs from Candidasa, but when I watched it back, I wasn’t feeling it so put them altogether to make this one video. Our time at Besakih Temple was crazy! We didn’t show it in this video but we had to walk about 800m up the hill in that rain to get there. You could probably tell all lot of the footage was shot on our iPhone. Left the 80D in the car when ever it was raining. Might be time to get a GoPro 7 or the new Osmo Pocket.

Yeah it was a pretty huge trip! I really underestimated how much time it would take to edit and share all these videos. Happy to say the series is almost over and have some different destinations coming up on the channel.

Oh man, those steps up to Mount Lempuyang Temples... solid effort, guys. I would've given up 5 steps in lugging the kiddos. Those stepping stones at Tirta Gangga look like so much fun! I can picture my boys falling right into the water though :S We need to plan a trip back to Bali to explore all these places beyond, well, Kuta and Seminyak.

Haha yeah I’m sure Javi would have fallen in if we weren’t carrying him or watching his every move. Probably the toughest thing about exploring is carrying the kids up steps everywhere. Can’t wait until they’re a bit older and won’t need any help.

candidasaa, I found so cute hotel here, was visiting last week, the name is Watergarden.. but I di not filming it, was not in the mood hahahha.. but I will come back to do the filming there...and yes, I also just found out many snorkelling spot that I can do there..I love virgin beach, I swam there a few time last year.

We didn't have the best weather at Virgin Beach. Javi had a swim. We pretty much just had something to eat and walked along the beach. Pretty nice spot.

We do enjoy it here. But a big reason why we kept coming back is because it was the only place that had international flights from where we live in Australia. Used it a few times as a stop over to Thailand and Singapore.

Such a shame the rock used to build the hotels for the people coming to the tourist attraction caused its downfall. I really hope Bali manages to conserve its beauty

I just got back from Bali. I been wanting to go for 12 years. People say it's magical there...it was nice! But I would not say magical. Ubud was so pretty! Kuta I did not like one bit. We stayed in monkey Forest Rd and the temples within walking distance on that road to me are nicer then the ones that are famous and big and far out. I did not like baliese food BUT I had the best vegan food in Bali at the vegan restaurants.

Bali is by no means perfect, but it has something about it that lures people back. In saying that it’s not for everyone. I hope you still have some great memories you hold onto from the trip. @@TheWorldnUs not much anymore...I went to Bali, sinapore, Philippines,all in one month...it all was "ok" of course Bali was my favorite...but all in all ..the cost to fly there (I flew business class) is kinda high (your right Bali is cheap though) and the money, I just rather put into my home. Traveling can be so stressful. I'm kinda bummed out that Bali was not the magical place I thought it was (very nice but nothing to say it blew me totally away) I am hoping I find some place on Earth that is more amazing???! U Know of anything else??? I did like Vegas but I been there a lot already lol. Hawaii is ok to.

I was going to suggest Hawaii. We love it there. We got married on Oahu and actually went back in April for our 5 year anniversary. It's a little bit different when you're travelling with kids though. Our next series will be from that trip. Probably my all time favourite place to have visited was the Iguazu Falls on the border of Argentina and Brazil. We spent a month backpacking around Argentina before we had the kids. Iguazu was simply amazing! But not a lot to see or do in that particular area besides the waterfall. Overall I really enjoyed Argentina. It's a vast country with many different climates. I found it difficult with the language but Elisa speaks fluent Spanish as she is originally from Argentina. ~David

I have Anxity,and at only 44 I have lot of neck back pains so I need comfortable place to sleep. And IBS so I need to not be far from restroom. but I still want look into those places u said! 👌👍

When we stayed in Candidasa, my wife and the kids were not feeling well enough to leave the hotel. It meant we couldn't take advantage of this kind of trips.
