Be careful at the beaches, one wave can take away everything and it is so sudden. 3. BARGAIN a lot. If shopping is your thing, consider shopping outside big temples like Tanah Lot and Tirta Empul. You will surely get good prices. 4. If someone says you have to pay $10 TOURIST TAX for Bali. Please ignore this because I paid it before landing in Bali and nobody asks or cares. It’s a SCAM. 5. Take the hotel transfers with the tour, it’s just convenient that way in both time and money. 6. Apps to use - Currency (to convert everything faster), Grab, Gojek (for transport), Klook, GetYourGuide (for tours & activities). 7. For Hotels, check TIKET.com as this is an Indonesian website, which means chances to get a better deal. 8. You have to pay island tax when you go to Nusa Penida (entry only) and Gili T (entry-exit both). They will take it in cash when you get to the island. (costs around 20-25k) 9. You can also consider doing another country with Bali if budget and office leaves allow. (like Malaysia or Singapore as you can do it in 3-4 days.) 10. For Nusa Penida, you can ask multiple shops for the drop harbour in Nusa Penida. Choose the one nearest to your stay. 11. After you buy the ticket at the point of interest, you will find nobody from the staff - so please don’t be adventurous, take care of yourself especially if you are SOLO.

Hi, you can consider some other places like Thailand islands Japan The Philippines Maldives Sri Lanka Turkey But if you want consider Bali then I would say atleast a week would make sense. As you would want to relax also and travel also. 2 days in South of Bali as beautiful beaches and place to relax 3 days in Ubud ( a lot to see and experience, shop , eat and relax ) 1 day in Nusa Penida (you cannot miss this place) 1 day in Canggu for party That's the minimum time you should spend.

Approximately 1000 rs (200,000 IDR) for food or less depending on what you eat. Some money for shopping. Rest tours you can book according to plan. Keep currency for it if planning offline. So keep 500,000 for every day. Utna lage ga nhi but still you can keep. For me it was 200-250k per day. (Food + transportation)

We got money back in IDR. The cost of VOA is 32$. For two of us it costed 64$ so remaining 36$ they gave back to us in IDR. The conversion rate was lower than local market. When we went it was 15,770 in local market but at airport we got around 15k per $.

Hi, as I was travelling solo, I did not avail any taxi service for tours. But my suggestion would be that you go and book there from local shops. The day you land, you wouldn't be touring around and just exploring. So, you can ask the shops around (atleast 3 shops) and understand the rates. And then you can bargain with them accordingly. And since you are a family, if you book things from local shops they will give you discounts (as they always asked me how many people and since I was just 1 they did not give any discount in ferry transfers 🥲).
