Wow I used to drive past the back of this place all the time and I wondered why would some build a house that looks like this in Bali. Because from the road you just see part of red brick structure. But now seeing the full home this place is beautiful they did an amazing job and they also picked an amazing location in the hustle and bustle but removed and secluded at the same time

Great house. But i don't know, do you lease or bought the land? As far as i know Indonesian laws do not allow foreigners to purchase land or property without having an Indonesian Passport or ID. If you guys don't, perhaps the house is illegal.

Unfortunately people come in Bali and don't study the traditional way to build houses, they want minimal overcemented houses and they call them Eco houses, this house has no garden, high walls and it's probably boiling inside..

I love architecture in every form, but what i am asking myself a lot is: why so much people have this huge houses? For me it would feel like living in an airplane hall. Not cosy at all. Why two people need so much space and this huge pool? the half of both would be enough..This is not sustainable and not eco friendly
