when I was in high school,I went to your house in Dasma with my classmates to meet you,although you were not there your kasambahay,let us in and showed us your trophies displayed in one room which is near the swimming pool.she also showed us the door leading to Sonny Boy's room which was downstairs.it was in 1987 when I saw you in person at the MET and my first time to watch Vilma live.I am a fan since I was 9,I am now 60 years old and still a fan.I love you ate Vi and I will never forget this beautiful memory.

I used to watch her shows there at d MET coz i used to live at Sampaloc area, hence, d venue was quite near & very convenient for me to travel.. i'm teary eyed watching this blog of hers coz it reminds ne how Ate Vi treated us very dearly.. we used to go there at 3 pm, interacting with other fans from various places.. at times, we used to wait for her arrival at d artists' entrance.. once she goes out from her L300 van, she extends her hands as she handshakes our hands be woth her sunglasses sporting her familiar very sweet smiles.. d perfume she wears on that day remains its scent on our palms.. then, we used to peep at d back of her van as her assistants gradually unpacks whatever she needs for that show & follow our idol at her dressing room.. i still remember her former driver, then, named Fermin telling us that Ate Vi treats him as a member of her family.. down-to-earth as he describes her.. then, after which we go back at d entrance & wait for d 6 pm ss d gate opens for d fans.. after d show, we go back again at d artists' entrance waiting for her to go home.. same scenario, she extends her arms again for us.. thanking everyone for watching her show.. she even opens her van window waving on us as her van starting to leave d venue.. that's how i fully reminisce my worthy experiences with my IDOL VI at d MET.. i love u Ate Vi.. senior citizen na rin ponako ngayon living now here in our province of ilocos norte as a retired high school teacher.. i'm a follower of ur blog, even luis & jessy.. I was a kid noong lumipat ang “VIP” sa GMA as “Vilma!”…at nakagisnan kong pinapanood namin siya sa bahay every Friday night - so much that, even in my young mind, naging synonymous ang MET kay Ate Vi at ‘yung mismong show for a long time. Tapos pagdating ng Star Awards kada October, I was always rooting for “Vilma!” and for Ate Vi to win the musical-variety honours. Hindi biro ‘yung production value lalo na sa opening numbers every week - to think that, noong panahong ‘yon, hindi pa sobra-sobrang “asenso” ang GMA (lalo na dahil iilan lang ang “prime” local talents nila at that time, led by Ate Vi and the “big three” - sina Kuya Germs, Ate Luds, and Helen Vela). It was also, if I remember right, one of the first entertainment programs not just on GMA, but in Philippine TV as a whole, na na-recognize internationally (nag-finalist sa New York Festivals a couple of times). Sayang, hanggang sa KZbin na lang mapapanood, at hindi na “swak sa budget” ng networks ngayon ang ganyang musical-variety format sa primetime. Nabigyan din ng parangal ang historical na METropolitan theatre kung saan humanga na ako noon pa, habang regular na nanonood ng personal ng Vilma show.
