I can't believe nobody wanted to work for that price. I remember bucking bales for $0.02 a bale, and how excited we got when one farmer went up to a nickel. Then I went logging and didn't return to the fields.

I’m in Lexington at a horse show with my wife , an hour or so away from you I reckon . If I had known you needed help I would have brought some Amish boys with me. They charge $20.00 per hour for hay labor but a 12 year old Amish boy can do the work of 3 Mexicans! Oh I just remembered, November is “Amish Wedding Season” , seriously, that’s when farm work has slowed down and they are getting their sons and daughters of age married off. Amish weddings in my area are on Tuesday’s and Thursdays , an all day event ! Anyway sorry to be rambling on . I always love seeing that accumulator work! Thanks for the video!

I went with the same accumulator that you have last year. It worked perfect then but now this year I am having the same issue of the gate not opening all the time. At first I thought the bales were to light so I tightened them up and it worked for an hour then started again. What did you do to adjust yours and also what number massy are you using
@DLHFarms2 жыл бұрын
Look up Kuhns/Norden KZbin channel they have some good tips on there what to look for. The tractor on the baler is a 5711D and the tractor on the rake is a 4710.

Hope you're work load is getting less Dennis ? Alot of field work finished for you. Remember one year on the farm had 18000 bales a good year .all small stacked manually. Later years went to all round bales .Has the 6715 got front linkage?. The way it's going you might get chance to snow plough if it has the front linkage. Would be good to see a video of that.Mike Ps are they waiting for a part ?

I feel your pain of finding good help. We only do square bales for ourselves and have started doing contract jobs for other horse farms around us. We can not find reliable help to put in the barn. And we live in the heart of horse farm area. We have one neighbor kid that will help when he's not at his construction job, but that is difficult to coordinate. When it's good hay weather it's also good construction weather. Have offered some farm helpers that we know the same $20 an hour plus food, and they just don't want to show up.
