I just bought one of these. Can’t wait to use it. Looks like you never shut the pto off to dump the roll after you tie it. I’ve heard people claim to shut it off and I’ve also heard people say not to shut it off.

I’ve tried it both ways. I feel like the bales ejects better if you leave it running

How does this compare to a 504 Super I?
@dannewton46374 күн бұрын
@@caseyfenlon2238 pretty much the same baler. However, the Rebel only had tension on 1 side. So the Super I is a little better baler for consistent tightness and density

Thanks for the fast reply, I’m going to look at a nicer SI tomorrow, have you done balage with yours?
@dannewton46374 күн бұрын
@ yes I have. It worked ok, but the Super I would be a better baler for doing baleage.

Do you slow the rpms down before you dump a bale
@dannewton4637Ай бұрын
@@heathclark9740 yes. I leave the rpms high while tying the bale then slow rpms down when ejecting the bale

@ do you think a 2606 Massey Ferguson 65 engine,55 pto would be able to handle that baler
@dannewton4637Ай бұрын
@ yes. 55hp will run it fine. May have to slow your ground speed down, especially in hills. I believe Vermeer advertised this baler as needing a minimum of 40hp.
