Can you use the camera set up to line up the tie grabber over the accumulated bales? It is frustrating for me when dong the same hitching with a skid steer plate. So true on the locking levers......many times the lever[s] get pushed down so the locking pins are too low to slip into the slots.

@jessepeden56432 жыл бұрын
Couple questions when you have time on The tie grabber 1. I know you are using it and you have a lot more uneven terrain than I do (north central Ohio). My question is does it make the packs that much more stable I am starting to bale away from home a ways and if the ride better on the wagons is what I’m after 2. If you were on flat ground would your smaller Massey handle it ok or is tractor just not big/heavy enough need 5000 series over 4700 series?
@DLHFarms2 жыл бұрын
Yes it makes the packs way more stable in transport and in the barn. I still run mine on the 4710 sometimes it can do it it’s just hard on it. Anytime you pick up hay with it, it’s maxed out basically.

Was wondering how well your af10 is doing this year just purchased one haven't got it in the field yet and going to be putting it behind a 5070 was wondering your bail length in order for me to have an idea where to set it I have an idea but I want another opinion and you run seems like you run a lot of hay thanks enjoy the videos from Ohio
@DLHFarms2 жыл бұрын
I run my bale length approximately 35 to 36 inches if they get much longer than that the machine won’t work right. I recommend putting fluid in the rear tires on the af10 it’s so light it bounces around like a little red wagon also it helps keep it stable on steep hills.

Hey Dennis. Your Massy's are working good. My 2021 4707 has the PTO knocking. Mechanic says its probably the forks that shift not meshing properly when going from 540 to 540E. Makes less knocking noise in 540E. My 4707 needed 4 updates which he accomplished 3 but the fourth tractor wouldn't take it. He was trying to synchronize the transmission. Said he needs to take it to the shop. So they are picking it up next week. Did you have the Pto knock on your 4710? If so did MF fix it? Any info would be great. Love the videos like everyone else. Hey my 4707 just hit 70 hours and mechanic says no oil changes till 500 hours. I found your 4710 first oil change video i agree 50 hours and 100 hours then maybe 500 hours. God's bless from NM.
@DLHFarms2 жыл бұрын
If your referring to the knocking noise when you first turn on the pto that normal but if it’s during operation that’s not normal. When you first turn it on the noise is the computer pulsing the solenoid to soft start the pto.

What does this square bailer spray into hay/straw from yellow tank?

It’s a preservative used on hay that has a higher moisture content than it should be to keep it from molding. Sometimes the weather forces you to bale earlier than you would like

Always love the videos Dennis. I always wonder if your baler misses ties once in awhile. Had a McCormick 46 and every third bale was missing the left side. Have a New Holland 269 now and once in awhile the left side does not tie. Love baling hay just not the frustration. And should I switch to plastic twine?
@seriouslyconfused12 жыл бұрын
I got a NH 269! My left side misses every now and then. I found out over 5 years she likes the thicker twine. Every 50 bales a miss on the thicker twine. Used that sisle (not plastic) and she was averaging a miss every 100 bales.
@DLHFarms2 жыл бұрын
It does miss one occasionally but it’s only when it’s switching balls of twine usually. You probably have some parts worn out or out of adjustment. I use 8500/170 tyrite plastic twine gave up on sisal a long time ago.
