After receiving the Zenith today I can confidently say I like it much more than the vulp. This all comes down to preferences though so my preference is for the Zenith others may have a preference for vulp. Honestly though unless t8 hardware is a massive issue for you I think the Zenith is the way to go it offers better material for the handles and it is far gripier and feels fantastic I think it will last you longer than the vulp in terms of growing with your flipping progress.

I got the Vulp, and even as a newbie I don't like how it flips + Chaplins are frustratingly hard. I would tell you to try the Zenith Trainer if you already have something to flip for now.

I just ordered the zenith, but I do have the Vulp. I, for one, am not a fan of the handle bias the Vulp has. It's that weird combo of having long handles and a slippery channel that makes certain tricks harder to perform. One of the main criticisms is the fact that chaplins are really hard to do on the Vulp, but the strange handle bias can also mess up certain technical tricks without proper technique. Mine developed tap in around a month of beater use. However, one of the main boons of the Vulp is the fact that it comes with all the hardware needed to maintain the knife. It is an absolute nightmare to disassemble though, so be warned. My preference has formed to favor neutral weight balisongs like the Marcolo C116 and the Squid Trainer V4. So while i can vouch that the value of the Vulp is fantastic, it's not a balisong that I'd say will grow with you as you diversify your skillset, but it will be a serviceable, accessible aluminum starter balisong that will not break the bank. I cannot speak for the zenith since it just came out, and I mostly got it off of aesthetics alone. But from what I can see, it seems like a home run for Flytanium. Can't wait to try mine out when it comes.

The Vulp is not that great. The selling point I often see is that it comes with hardware to maintain but honestly that is not much of an added value if you ask me. Mine developed tap within a month of light use and I can't adjust the tuning because the locktite is doing a hell of a job. Planning to give it away to some poor soul once I hit 500 subs 😂
