Wow! What an emotionally charged, power-packed-performance! Your emotional tears and your sweat made your face glisten and shine all the more! The available space on the stage was not enough for one like you - who can leap like a gazelle and spring like a tiger. There was something on the stage resembling a Sivalinga, which managed to hide and hinder your dance movements. The final split was mind blowing. You had made India proud by your performance. Be Blessed!

It takes lots of effort to be so artistic. Brathanatiyam is gifted to Rukmini and her brisk movement with pretence are natiyam in differing style and not acrobatic. Seen the tears? she is very much involved with the lyrics and feels it through out. Never seen her missing a step, she puts in lots of hard work /practice to perfection.

I am not knowledgeable in Dance. However I quite enjoyed Nikolina Nikoleski's Dance to the same song. That was a different style, not so expressive as this one. But that was truly awesome. Rukmini is equally athletic compared to Nikolina, still this dance is not comparable. Perhaps someone can explain the difference.

Bharathanatyam is expression of your soul through something called abhinaya ( expressing certain emotions, moods etc through mainly facial expressions combined with movements)….nikolina has mastered the body movements perfectly but Rukmini has both body movements plus abhinaya.Thats the beauty of classical dance.

Nicholi's version I find the best. It's very Neat and crisp without appearing too modern , too traditional . She gets it right . All Art is subjective, including the art of dance .

Quite disagree. She is an exponent of the Tanjavur style of Bharatnatyam and her choreography is a composite one which comprises all the elements of Bharatanatyam including the Karanas and that imrpoves the grace of the performance. I am a dancer myself and I would advise you to know more about the different styles of the dance form.

Gorgeous dance but very bad camera work. This is a dance, and he was cutting to her face all the time which was very annoying. The dancer had worked so hard on the choreography and her footwork as well as hand mudras yet we missed out on all that because he had to keep cutting to her face and neck only. What a travesty. I would have loved to have seen the whole dance shot in a way so i didn't miss all the beautiful transitions and footwork.

Sorry! the cluttered stage is awful ! It truly ruins her performance. Worst still! the essense of spritual nature of her dance is degraded.
