I'm a Catholic. A procession is a form of a prayer. While there is joy and appreciation for the religiosity of the believers, the procession should be solemn. However, the procession seems to be more of a spectacle, what with all those props or special effects (like a moving image and smoke lights), which are distractions to the solemnity of our reflection on the passion, death, and resurrection of our LORD Jesus.

@@boyasia5874 you are most welcome po. Ako rin po ay namangha sa kanilang mahaba at grandiosong prusisyon at first time ko po itong nasaksihan sa kanilang bayan. Naka attend na rin po ako sa taunang Intramuros grand marian procession ngunit mas mahaba po itong sa Baliwag Bulacan. Record holder na po sila ng longest lenten procession sa pinas at ang mga carroza ay nagpapakita ng mga ibat ibang tagpo at di maaaring may duplicate na tagpo. Also, the size of the image should be at least 6 feet o human size ayon sa aking pananaliksik.

No Parade po iyan procession po ang tawag. Ang parade po ay ang sinasabi nyo ay tulad ng mga musiko ng banda, school activities or Reunion yan ang parade. Yan yung tinatawg nyon parade pero procession po ay tawag jan ay sagrado ng lenten season or Marian ay procession po ang tawag 😊

ISAIAS 44:9-11 9Walang kuwentang tao ang mga gumagawa ng rebulto, at walang kabuluhan ang mga diyus-diyosang kanilang pinahahalagahan. Mga bulag at hangal ang SUMASAMBA sa MGA ITO, kaya sila’y mapapahiya. 10Walang IDUDULOT na MABUTI ang PAGGAWA ng mga REBULTO para SAMBAHIN. 11Tandaan ninyo, ang SUMASAMBA sa mga ITO ay mapapahiya lamang. Kayo lang ang NAKA-ISIP ng “ibang Kristo”, malamang kayo ang may kilalang IBANG KRISTO. Kayo ang nakakaisip ng tungkol sa “ibang Kristo” at ang malala pa kung minsan, mga PAGAN GODS ang NAALALA niyo o kaya DEMONYO. Ang idolatria ay NAGMUMULA sa PUSO.I big sabihin ay sa SARILING INTENSYON at HINDI sa PAGKAKAROON ng mga LARAWAN. Hindi ba’t ang paghanga sa isang likha ng sining ay paghanga sa lumikha nito? Hindi ba’t ang simpleng pagtitipid ng tubig at hindi pagsira sa kalikasan ay isang paraan ng pag-appreciate sa mga regalo ng Diyos? Hindi ba’t ang pagtatayo ng bantayog para sa isang bayani ng bayan ay tumutulong sa kaisipan ng mga kabataan upang tularan ang pagiging mabuting mamamayanan ng taong iyon? PAGKILALA sa kadakilaan ng Diyos, PASASALAMAT sa kanyang kabutihan, at PAGLAGAY ng huwaran at INSPIRASYON ang pangunahing LAYUNIN ng PAGKAKAROON ng mga LARAWAN ng mga taga-sunod ni Hesus. Ang idolatria ay NAGMUMULA sa PUSO.I big sabihin ay sa SARILING INTENSYON at HINDI sa PAGKAKAROON ng mga LARAWAN. Para sa mga MAHAL kong KATOLIKO, ''Hayaan nating TAYO ang USIGIN kaysa tayo ang NANG-UUSIG, sapagkat alam natin sa ating mga sarili na WALANG KATOTOHANAN ang kanilang mga SINASABI. Sana ay HINDI tayo MATULAD ng mga TAONG walang naiintindihan at MABILIS lang MAGTURO ng mga pagkakamali sa IBANG TAO.''

If you are non-Catholic and you do not understand this tradition, don’t quote a bible verse. Catholics both oral and written traditions. Other Christian denominations only has written tradition. Whichever Christian denomination you are from, everyone is entitled to practice their faith according to how the church leads them. TO EACH HIS OWN.

It‘s nice in Bulacan tulad ng Cebu at Bohol original sa panahon pa ng Castilla ang Karo or Karosa na sinasakyan ng mga Santos sa Procession ng Cuaresma or Semana Santa. Lalo na sa Bulacan matibay pa ang Karo.
