In this episode of the Balkan Rules Podcast, our guest is Faruk Hadžibegić, one of the most renowned Bosnian football coaches and former players. Born on October 7, 1957, in Sarajevo, Hadžibegić had an impressive career playing for clubs like Sarajevo, Real Betis, Sochaux, and Toulouse. He was a key member of the Sarajevo team that won the Yugoslav First League in 1984/85, and he also represented Yugoslavia at the 1984 European Championship and the 1990 World Cup.
In this conversation, Hadžibegić shares his experiences on the field, as well as insights on current topics. He talks about his coaching career with clubs like Sochaux and Real Betis, and leading the national teams of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Montenegro.
