Finally! I have been trying to embed my building into the toposurface, this can be adapted to any construction like that.. It is important to point out that this should be done when the toposurface editing is finalized so that the gradation remains uniform.

Hi Balkan! i know that this is a nice way to finish a 3d modeling work to make some views and renders... but.. what about the architectural sections of that thing? i mean... that is a kind of trickie way to solve the bigest problem that is... that you cant cut the tunel volume from the toposurface! is there any way to build something between the topography? i mean... when you set an architectural section is there a way to see earth... then the building (roof or floor + space + floor+ building pad?) and then again earth?
@DavidGoshadze5 жыл бұрын
Yep, exactly. I'm having the same problem too. This tutorial isn't really useful if it doesn't address this issue. The only solution I found is to model the terrain with Mass instead of topography. This gives you the ability create hollow sweep.

It seems very nice, but what appen if you cut inside the gallery with a section? Will the ground be inside the gallery? This video seems good just for 3D renderings, but for rendering other software are better than Revit (P.S. I like a lot this software with all its limits, but for engineering purposes it is not very good in every case).

Nice but only useful if you don't need sections or even Section Box views. Those will always show the topo fill of the split surface. Revit should really upgrade their topo tools to full boolean capabilities. For a software this old and expensive it is pathetic how little topo manipulation can be done. Come on Autodesk, move into the 20th Century!

Never import CAD!! This makes Revit files messy and polutes them with CAD elements. The proper way is to link the CAD.
