I'm trying out a new approach, by using a greenscreen and also trying to make the videos a bit quicker to the point. Let me know what do you think, is it better this way? :)

all good but 4 degrees is too much, is not it? 1 degree is more than enough I think :)

Love the new format. Feels like I'm in a proper Revit lecture hall with the Prof.

Nice tutorial. One problem with the center draining roof as you draw it is that the slopes will be at differing angles. If you always draw your roof as a square with a center drain point & use the vertical opening tool to remove the excess you'll always end up with a constant slope at all areas as it would be built. I also tend to go up at the edges instead of down at the center. This will allow a you to maintain a minimum insulation thickness (roof family thickness) at the roof drain & the positive value at the perimeter is calculated based on the distance from the center point to the edge.

What about making flat roofs in Revit LT? There is no Modify Sub Elements feature, nor Model in place.

Hello Balkan. Please make a guide on how to add an angle parameter on a custom family. Eg solar panel , doors, windows. I do not want to edit the family every time I make changes to the angle in the main project.

What do you do when your roof building footprint is more complex? Meaning more in and out notches? Is there another way to keep in clean?

I'm thinking about adding additional floor (attic) to my house. I'm a little bit worried about overall height of the house so I have a question - if you can choose is it smart to avoid flat roof and option for classic angled roof?

how would you do a terrace, or a balcony with a sloped floor layers? For example, a balcony over a "heated area" needs to have drainage, and slope for water to go into the vertical gutter. in balcan: kako napravit slojeve balkona u padu kako bi voda išla u smjeru odvoda.

Hi Balkan, is there any occurred to you when using modified sub element in 2024 version revit? As for mine and in one procedure, after I click one of the box for which of the materials are to be variable in floor assemblies. When I clicked modify sub elements, the warning keep popping and said Slab Sloped failed due to thickness. Would you let us know what are the full procedures for create modify sub elements in Revit 2024. Not sure if I missed any step.

nice tutorial.. but I think the irregular shape roof doesn't work in reality. It's not the way things are built XD
