Parametric Door that Opens in Revit Tutorial

So glad you made the same mistake with the door angle. I was trying to figure out what was wrong, and getting really frustrated, but then thought 'I'll just watch the rest of the video first', and then you had the same problem. Phew. Cool video. Thanks.

First, I need to thank you for the beneficial video tutorials that you are providing us, Secondly, I just need to point out a little issue concerning this family (you must have forgotten to lock the 'Hinge Plane' to the 'Door Frame') so when the Door Width is adjusted the HP does not move along with it, but rather stay in its original position in space. To fix this issue I created a dimension between the 'HP' and the 'Door Opening Plane' adjacent to it and of course locked it in place. As an addition, I added an Arc to the Door to show it's Opening Path in Plan, found in (Annotate > Symbolic Line), and locked it on the respective reference plane of the wall and reference line of the door. If you wish to show the Frame in the Plan View it is also possible to do it by clicking on the Frame and going to the (Properties Panel > Visibility/Graphics Overrides) then check all the boxes and click ok Other than that it all worked fine, the door is fully parametric, thanks again for the amazing tutorials I wouldn't have done it without your help

this is again such a great tutorial, i was looking for how to make custom models/families ... Sir you forgot to lock the "hinge point" reference plane with the vertical frame reference plane, without unlocking your door panel wont move along with the door width

Hi, not everything seemed to work when you were flexing the door family. When you changed the width of the door, the hinge of the door - it stayed at the original position and was not connected to the door frame. Nice tutorial otherwise.

Can you create a parameter that will allow the door swing line to move with the door in floor plan view to show a 45deg angle. You didn't include the door swing line in your vid
