It is not a war crime to use a false flag or enemy uniform during NON-COMBAT missions, i.e. during espionage, though the person (in this case a drone) loses the protections of war (since it's a drone who cares?). For example, the Australian Defense manual states (like America's), "It is prohibited to use the flags or military emblems, insignia or uniforms of the enemy while engaging in attacks." and that "Enemy uniforms may otherwise be worn". Why are you posting that Russia's gains are accelerating? Aren't you worried you'll hurt morale? At this rate Russia will gain 400km2 for the first time since the beginning of the war. It's not much, but the gains are accelerating despite the Kursk misadventure. It seems pretty clear the Donetsk front is crumbling, Vuhledar is about to fall, much like Avdiivka and Bakhmut, all the fortresses that held for 10 YEARS (since 2014) are now falling. I think the Kursk adventure was to distract from the fact that Robotyne fell and the counteroffensive was for naught, basically they needed to launch a new one to distract from that. Almost nobody talked about Robotyne falling because Kursk happened. Pretty smart move to avoid the morale loss that would have came from that, so nobody in Ukraine or the West is talking about the costly counteroffensive (which caused the Pentagon and all Western defense agencies to stop publishing Ukrainian casualty estimates and deem it top secret for fear of morale loss), all that being for naught.

So Russia gained about 9 million population with those figures. 8 million in Crimea, Donbass, Zaporizhia, Kherson + 1.2 million Ukrainian refugees that went to Russia of whom half took up Russian citizenship so far, minus about 180,000 KIA and 470,000 WIA assuming the historical 3 WIA to KIA ratio, could be much higher WIA given modern medicine, also keep in mind many are wounded, like with shrapnel, healed, and returned to combat, some casualties are wounded like 3 times so same individual could be counted as 3 casualties and still be alive and back on the front line... this applies for casualties on both sides of the war. Granted the Pentagon reported 70,000 Ukrainian KIA before the counteroffensive more than a year ago, and if Ukraine had a NATO level of WIA to KIA, they probably suffered 350,000 WIA of which 150,000 would be more severe, which fits with the 180,000 loss figure the Pentagon reported 1.5 years ago (70,000 KIA plus 110,000 severe WIA, they omitted lightly wounded obviously as Ukraine surely has a better than 3WIA-to-KIA ratio that most civilized countries do, the USA has a 10 WIA to KIA ratio). Point is.... given those figures you reported, Russia is up anywhere from 8.5 million to 9.1 million in population from this war. Meanwhile Ukraine is down 17 million at a minimum, the 9.2 million Russia took, the 8 to 12 million the rest of the world took in, most are never going to return....unless Ukraine can push Russia from 100% of Crimea and all territories AND join NATO.... Otherwise once the ban on males leaving is lifted, they will flee to join wives abroad to avoid being trapped again if war restarts, there basically has to be a 100% certainty war won't restart or they can't lift the ban on males leaving for fear they'll reunite with their wives/gfs abroad and become citizens of the same EU/NATO they love so much, hence they can't make peace, because their erstwhile "allies" will do more damage to them in a peace where they take 10 million more migrants in, than Russia did during the war). Already, many Ukrainian refugees are passing the 2 year, 3 year marks many countries require for refugees to apply for permanent residency or citizenship, which is the real danger zone for Zelensky and probably more of why he wants to negotiate than even Trump winning, he needs some sort of deal with 100% certainty of no future war, and where refugees will return, rather than males flee in mass when the ban on fleeing is lifted.

Maybe the reason they are struggling to find recruits is they still think all the millions of Ukrainian men in the Donbass and Crimea are supposed to report for duty to Ukraine.... hilarious... even when the Donetsk PR and Luhansk PR are literally the MAIN contingents of Russia's volunteer fighting armies. So Ukraine is so delusional as is the West, that they keep including the hundreds of thousands of Donbass and Crimean fighters who are FIGHTING against them, in their reports of who they can conscript. It's a case where sometimes delusions have real harm on actual military efforts. Not recognizing that those regions are no longer Ukrainian, and not recognizing that their people are hostile to Ukraine, can lead to such humurous things as thinking they can conscript the Donbass to fight itself.

Now they are showing a dip from 43 million to 38 million in 2022. That's presumably an update for the refugees though. They still do not show a drop from when Crimea left for example. Notice how there is no 2 million drop for when Crimea left? That's how in denial the West is. And then that leads to those odd miscalculations where NAFO bots think Ukraine has millions more men than it does, because they are accidentally including the 9 million in the Donbass, Crimea, and occupied Zaporizhia/Kherson areas (about 800,000 in those occupied parts of those two oblasts too that everyone forgets about).

Also, saying there were only 5 million refugees abroad is hilarious by Google. They don't want to admit that actually over 10 million refugees have gone abroad. Even the UNHCR shows 6.1 million Ukrainians have legally fled to Europe as REFUGEES alone, not including all the non-refugees (many left on business, tourist, or other visas, not as refugees) and not including all the men who fled illegally, and not including the other 150 countries of the world they fled to.

Let's see if you got these correct! Karabakh is Azerbaijan. Yep. Cyprus is Türkiye. Nope, Cyprus is currently divided into two parts - The Turkish and Greek ones. Kashmir is Pakistan. Most of it is controlled by India, some parts however are occupied by Pakistan and China. Crimea is Ukraine. It was until 2014. Gaza is Israel. Right now, Gaza is under Hamas' control, but Israel does occupy some parts of it. Abkhazia is Georgia. No, it's currently an unrecognised country established by Russia. The last three are not free.
