These are not game-changing advances. They are extremely slow and hard fought, slower even than ww1 offensives. Russia is not going to win even a negotiated peace if this rate of advance is all we can expect. The AFU will soon be revitalised via western shipments to at minimum halt the Russians and potentially enough to stockpile for a late winter/early spring offensive. We are witnessing a near frozen conflict and calling each advance a major breakthrough, even though athletes can run the distances in less than 30 seconds

The diversion in Kharkiv has worked it looks like, Because usually Russia goes into a stalemate when Western Aid arrives, but despite this, Russia is still gaining bits of land, When Ukraine runs out of weapons and supplies, the true advance begins. Russia cannot physically run out of supplies due to the large reserves it has stored from the Soviet Union, (although Ukraine has some too but not as much as Russia) Not to mention that Siberia is full of metals and oil, perfect for their industries.

Firstly, it's not a diversion, it was meant to create a bufferzone, and it failed. Secondly, Ukraine is using defence in depth, while Russia is throwing everything they can at it. Thirdly, not only CAN Russia run out of supplies, it IS running out of them. All those reserves you speak of, are almost depleted. At the current rate of losses, Russia will be out of equipment in a year. Finally, while Russia does indeed have a massive pile of raw resources, these do not magically turn into finished products. And Russia is lacking the manpower to produce these goods. (there are about 160.000 job openings for their military industry which they aren't filling, because they've sent qualified personel to die as cannon fodder on the frontlines)

I can make a same headline for the United States saying it’s resources are depleted and people will believe it because they read one source from one person or media and then take it into context for other people to read because they are gullible. Russia is NOT running out supplies they have enough natural resources and other counterparts and allies to be trading and buying to keep them sufficient in this war for years to come by. Russia is not an idiotic country it can definitely win a war of attrition by producing tanks and shells and drones by the dozen. I have a couple friends from Russia that live in Russia and they are military aged men who haven’t been conscripted yet but enjoy life by studying and playing games and it’s been like that since 2022. The propaganda and lies is insane from the west but it definitely comes from Russia as well but the funny thing is I don’t support Russia I just study war and war tactics and heavy military machinery so obviously you have no clue what you’re talking about it’s easy to say that Russia at the moment is winning this war and Ukraines morale and ammunition is lowering even with the aid packages keeping them from getting eliminated.

Quite impressive, but it leaves me wondering. Is this a major assault? A test of the enemy lines? A reaction on Trump's rising chances of winning and maybe offering a peacy based on the current front line? So far, since great pull-back and after the *interplay* with Wagner, Russia used their natural advantages(numbers, artillery, aircrafts, old tanks) quite carefully, trying to maximize Ukraine's losses while themself being careful(if the numbers are correct). Honest answers: don't believe Russia's claims. Putin had to recently admit to the public that they have been losing a lot more than they were saying, so these numbers are now fabricated to make it look like Ukraine is losing even more. Secondly, we actually see Russia has been losing MORE than before. Since November 2023, Russia has consistently lost more than 25.000 men per month, and last month even reached almost 40.000. This month is the second worst month for Russia in terms of casualties, nearing 35.000. This month is also the month with the highest number of artillery system and special equipment losses. Over 1200 pieces of artillery this month alone, beating the previous record of 1160 set last month. More and more sources are confirming that Russian equipment is depleting, and will run out in about a year at this rate.

I don't know how to comment on the situation. The de facto Ukrainian army is collapsing on all fronts. The Russians have not made such progress in a day for a long time. The Russians advanced in areas where no movement had been registered for more than months, and all this in just a day. This is how wars are fought, and if they continue as they have until now, no wonder many more cities and villages will fall under the occupation of the Russians

For a channel called "MilitaryAnalysis", you sure are terrible at your job description. First of all: just because the update shows all these advances in one day, does not mean it all happened in one day. Often there is a lot of fighting over an area over days, weeks, even months, and the map gets a frontline correction for a lot of small changes that happened but did not get reported. Sometimes they've been fighting for days and have put the area in the grey zone, and now they were confirmed as taken. But also an important factor, is that there's new management at the top, and now the Russian generals feel the pressure to perform. They're afraid that, if they can't show results to the new leadership, they might lose their job, or worse. That's why you see advances in places that haven't seen any in a long time. Finally, all these advances are costing Russia a ton of lives and equipment, losses they cannot sustain over a long period of time. At the current rate, they'll run out of equipment within a year.

@@MilitaryAnalysis. the manpower losses for Ukraine claimed by the Russian MoD are pure fabrication. This is the result of Putin having had to admit to the public that they've been losing a lot more men than they were admitting to before, and to compensate for this admittion, he needed to show numbers that Ukraine was losing even more. Hence why suddenly those numbers doubled or even trippled. Russia had 12.600 tanks when the war started. 2600 active and 10k in storage. It used to have 24k tanks decades ago, but that's old, outdated data. Russian claimed to have put out 1500 tanks in all of 2023, 80% of which were old refurbished tanks. However, in the last 9 months alone, Russia lost about 3300 tanks. So when Russia runs out of stockpiled equipment to refurbish, their tank output will drop significantly. Right now, Russia is producing roughly 250 NEW tanks per YEAR. They lose about 350 tanks per MONTH. Do you understand that, even if all 1500 tanks in that year were brand new, Russia would still be losing them in like 4-5 months, meaning they'd need to produce 2-3 times as many just to break even?
