i believe katamari quite literally owns the rights to rolling around and collecting stuff on yourself to become larger, so this guy is in the danger zone

I think it is correct that Namco owns the rights to the functions of a katamari. This particular Roblox game has been started up a total of 32 times to date. I don't think Namco would go after such a small fry. I don't think this Roblox creator has anything to worry about. On the other hand, if a big company decided to try to release a big release game that copied katamari elements, then I suspect that Namco probably would get that stopped. In that case I wouldn't disagree with them. If Namco wanted to shut me down, sharing videos of the stuff I like, I bet they probably could. If they wanted to they could probably put an end to my lifelong hobby (which I will never try to make money off of). I have never heard of Namco actually getting a game taken down because it infringes on katamari. Given the immense amount I enjoy katamari knockoffs, I sure hope it stays that way. :)
