Do you need to use plumbers tape when screwing it on? Or is the seal metal-to-metal good enough. Thanks!

Will this work with the big poppa smoker drum guru adapter?

is there a gasket or something? I get a lot of air leaking when the fan isn't on
@zeebass26903 жыл бұрын
theres alot of airleak on these. When the fan shut off the intake seeps through all those gaps making the pit temp very slow to respond

Do you know of any adaptors for the original Fireboard Drive fan? I have one which I use with my offset, but I want to attach it to a kettle grill.
@FireBoardLabs4 жыл бұрын
The nozzle adapter, which is generally the adapter needed for kettle styles, should fit the snap-on fan. The only concern would be if the "spring" allows for a tight enough seal between the blower opening and the adapter gaskets, as that style blower doesn't have the rails for attaching it. For reference: docs.fireboard.io/drive/installation.html#Kettle-and-Bullet-Style

@@FireBoardLabs By the way, a little off topic, but I love my new competition probes. I used one for the first time yesterday and was easily able to monitor the IT of a single St. Louis cut sparerib (don't ask!) It worked great. I could never have done that successfully with my original probes.

@@davide.waterbury6295 So glad you like it! Did you try the nozzle adapter out on your original fan? Or did you discover a solution with the snap on fan by itself?

Make some in depth videos hooking up fan to Stick burners.

We'll see what we can do, but there are so many styles of cookers that it's impossible to address them all. Is there a particular vent style you need assistance with? If it's pinwheel style, the nozzle adapter video would apply to that.

@@FireBoardLabs Why can't we just have the other end of the adapter to fit in the bottom of a grill? I had to drill a hole to add your nozzle adapter to my weber kettle but there's nothing to close it when the fan's not attached. $300 spent and I have to use the "waste" of the gasket to plug the hole? The adapters should fit in a 1" hole but be able to close when not in use.
