Hello!! Here is my third video!!
A little background: When George first moved into Friar Park in Henley-on-Thames, he was very interested in the history of it and its owner, Sir Frank Crisp, an eccentric old man. (But as a Beatle/George fan I'm sure you all knew that!) George later wrote this song, and I believe that George used little sayings that were carved into the walls of Friar Park, or made up ones that sounded like something Sir Crisp would say. Friar Park was also where George gained his love of gardening. There is more history behind this but I will let you get to the video now!! Please enjoy!!
(The video is mostly in chronological order, but I know some of it is not quite right!)
Lyrics:
Let it roll across the floor
Through the hall and out the door
To the fountain of perpetual mirth
Let it roll for all it's worth
Find me where ye echo lays
Lose ye bodies in the maze
See the lord and all the mouths he feeds
Let it roll among the weeds
Let it roll
Let it roll down through the caves
Ye long walks of Coole and Shades
Through ye woode, here may ye rest awhile
Handkerchiefs to match your tie
Let it roll
Let it roll, let it roll
Let it roll, let it roll
Fools illusions everywhere
Joan and Molly sweep the stairs
Eyes that shining full of inner light
Let it roll into the night
Let it roll, let it roll
Let it roll, let it roll
Let it roll, let it roll
Ballad of Sir Frankie Crisp (Let it Roll) - All Things Must Pass - 1970

Haunting beautiful song one of the best albums of all time showed how George could make a great album and becoming a great solo artist that he was hugely talented George was well he showed Paul and John that he can do the same George was always overshadowed by John and Paul when he was with the Beatles and George had some great songs when he was with the Beatles like taxman blue jay way here comes the sun it's all too much long long long I me mine something and others George left a great legacy and he will forever be missed peace and love to all life goes on with or without you from the Beatles album revolver up the irons!!!maiden manic and have a very Merry Christmas and a very happy new year🤟🎶🎶🎶🇬🇧🤘🤘🤘🎸🎸☮️☮️☮️⭐⭐🎄🎄🎄🎄

Frank Crisp was born on the 25th of October 1843, George Harrison was born a hundred years later on the 25th of Feb. in 1943. Crisp died a the 29th of April, George died on a 29th of November. Both lived in Friar Park... my point is, I think George is Crisp reincarnated. I'm obviously kidding, but cool coincidences!

I was 2 months from my 17th birthday when George & The Beatles made their February 1964 appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show. I enjoyed their music thru the decade of the 60's and, afterward, the individual careers of each of them and, in particular, George. He was, afterall, my favorite Beatle.

Wonderful album all things must pass George gave john and Paul a run for there money when he made this classic album George was a fantastic songwriter guitarist that was George playing slide guitar on bad fingers day after day wore it don't come easy for ringo and photograph two fantastic songs George was on a roll if John and Paul made hits why can't George.make great songs? and he certainly did it was good that he branched out after the Beatles he showed John and Paul he can write great songs.just.like they can george.was great in his own right just like John and Paul I know if John was here with us he would make more great songs and mabie with Paul and George and ringo today is John Lennon's birthday let's always remember him when he was alive but he is alive in our hearts and our minds and his music will forever shine rip George and rip john shine on you crazy diamonds and life goes on with or without you!! and up the irons maiden manic🇬🇧🎸🎸🎵🎶🎶🤟🤟🤘🤘🎉🎉🎉🎂🎂🎂🎂🎂

Hell of a song, One of those lost classics, George Harrison had all these songs built in him, after only being allowed to have 2 songs per Beatle Album. So I think All Things Must Pass is one of his greatest albums, Also, the one with Got MY MInd set on you. May George Harrison Rest In Peace.

Great song, and nice addition of the Frankie Crisp portrait! Thanks for posting this. George was trying to teach the world something that the world needs, but that the world cannot / will not accept. But he had a lot of courage and integrity in teaching it, in spite of that. Hare Krishna, praise Buddha, Allah and Jesus too!

This song is on the cd I had made that will play at my funeral. I made this cd so that my friends and family will enjoy the music and poetry (I read it between soundtracks) that I enjoyed during my life. I feel alive and at peace when this song plays. Although I'll be dead, I hope it comforts my family and friends. I hope it doesn't have to be played for 30 years or so, but I'm prepared. Let it roll...

@jwlheart Right! The Infinite One being in control,God moved to the side some of the light when this world was created,&darkness was 1 of the creations.Humans have freedom of choice to be partners with God,each of us has to shine light into the dark corners of this world by visiting your sick Grandfather, help a friend, call your Mother & let her talk without getting angry.God shows us love & we must pass it on to others, not bask in it.(This is my favourite George Harrison song).

"The Ballad of Sir Frankie Crisp is a piece of personal indulgence inspired by an eccentric lawyer from the 1800's who I have come to know by becoming the proprietor of his Victorian folly, my home. Sir Frank was also the authority on mediaeval gardens. Phil Spector said if I were to change the lyric I'd have a few cover versions of the song, but those words were written because that's what it was. --from I - Me - Mine

That happened to me. I posted a video of the Searchers performing "Ain't That Just Like Me" on the Ed Sullivan Show. That video was up for six months, and no one complained about it. All of a sudden, I get an email from KZbin telling me that took it down for copywright infringment. The email said there was a third party complaint made on behalf of Sofa Entertaiment over that video. Some people need to get a life. We don't make money by posting these videos.

"Ringo" fans.... In honor of Ringo's 70th, I hope U will check out my "RINGO"video. It's very retro with Beatleish touches & was done as a labor of love and with the utmost respect for the Fabs. My attempt at putting a little bit of the Beatle spirit out there for Beatle fans. It's also my tribute to George Harrison's slide playing as well as Ringo's unique style. Here's a fact! After Hari George bought Friars Park, which was being occupied by Anglican Nuns, he went away and on return found it being used by a film company to make a ' tits and jokes' film called 'The Au pair Girls'. The footage is still in existance and you can buy the film now. BTW the film also stars Jonny Briggs, once of Uk soap Coronation Street.

@scott29298 wrong. George was more musically inclined from day one. John and Paul might have been better lyricists for a long time but George earned his keep. I still don't understand why people divide the Beatles. They were all great. Without any of them the music would have suffered greatly.

scott29298, your view that Paul was the "without doubt the best musician in the band" is as ridiculous as it is unsupported by the FACTS, the Paul's toady Geoff Emerick notwithstanding. Case in point: according to the Beatles' own accounts, George Harrison expanded (i.e., "TAUGHT") John and Paul new chord configurations (diminished, augmented, ninths, etc.). Furthermore, the guitar vocabulary of George, from slide to Jazz-inflected runs send Paul running with his band. Your view? False.
