Ballad of the Green Beret

I have always loved this Classic Patriotic song from the mid 1960s. This will be on a CD of Patriotic songs some day soon.
Ricky Nalett and I played all the keyboards on this. I did the lead and harmony singing. Thanks of course, to Ricky Nalett, who did his usual excellent job recording the audio and video as well as editing and completing the video!!

Every morning in Camp McKaw they woud play this .... and all day "are you ready to quit yet?", You see, they were pushing us to the limits to see if we'd fold under pressure. It was the hardest training I had ever completed ..... so proud to wear my Green Beret. 10SFGA Medic on an ODA (A Team). It opened many doors for me. thank you for that opportunity to serve.

I am proud of the Green Berets, they are awesome service men. Many of them have their all for our country so that you and I can enjoy our Freedom. Men like Ray Benivedos who did the impossible to save his fellow men in arms , he was wounded an kept on fighting carrying the wounded back to choppers while being fired at from all flanks, it was hot LZ and he never faltered, while carrying a badly wounded soldier he was stab with a bayonet and had to fight hand combat as he was carrying this vet back to the chopper. Ray was great American and one of the best of the Green Berets.
