Fox Amoore's orchestration of Nintendo's beautiful song 'Ballade of the Wind Fish' is extraordinary. I wanted images from the game to form a narrative, and have that narrative tied to the movements in the music, so I have done that here. Enjoy it as a heartfelt tribute to a beautiful game that really moved me as a young boy.

The Ballad of the Wind Fish is one of the few songs that nearly brings me to tears. I always get somewhat emotional at these kinds of songs-songs that are supposed to portray something as tragic, but instead, sees it not as a terrible tragedy, but almost...triumphant in a way. Like, though they're gone, they're not actually gone. They've returned home, to where they belong, and that they're simply waiting for you to return alongside them once again.

This was one of the first games I ever played that got an emotional response from me. I was rather young. I literally cried when reading the manga. Everytime I hear this version of the song I cry. As a grown as 30 year old guy, not many things get that response from me. I hope the remake does not lose this feeling, and can't bring myself to play it because of this.

The moment when you exit Face Shrine and learn the truth hit me like a freight train as a ten year old. Realizing that Marin, Bow Wow, the villagers, all the characters I'd come to care about would disappear if I woke the Wind Fish.....I couldn't believe it.
