Very neat. I decided to go without ballast on my layout. Not worth the maintenance imo. I painted my cork roadbed gray and it looks pretty nice.

Nice, I used roofing gravel as ballast. I use to work for the W&LE and we delivered to Owens Corning and their cars leaked like submarines with a screen door. So I decided to pick some up and it works great!

That is sick! Put a loco on it and a caboose and you have a pretty neat matenence train!

Nice bit of kit. A little WD40 would be good.

Isn't the ballast supposed to be under the ties?

Normally, in modeling and IRL, yes, but different model railroaders have their preferences. It depends what they're modeling. If someone wants to model a "double decker couch" RR, let 'em have their fun. Also there's some realism for this on an older, less maintained side line.

@@77thTrombone isn't that from the lego movie?

@@Mr._funny2006 _Is it from the Lego movie??!!?? It is *The Moral Lesson* of the Lego movie! Deride someone else's double decker couch at your own peril! 👍

@bigboystraintoys6285 it's to bad nobody has thought to make a miniature one for this kind of hobby.
